Dear Luce Road Families,

We have proudly wrapped up three amazing weeks of Kindergarten Adventure Camp, and our Panther Cubs are already showing us just how much they have learned! They know what is expected when they come to school, and now they are practicing these routines with their teachers every single day.

Each day our Cubs are growing in confidence and independence, and they are showing us what it means to ROAR with pride in every part of Luce Road. Whether in the classroom, the hallway, the playground, or the cafeteria, our Cubs are leading the way by living out our expectations:

Respect Others, Act Responsibly, and Be Safe.

We are also thrilled to give a big, joyful welcome to our GSRP and Preschool Panther Cubs! We are so glad you are here, already filling our school with your energy, your smiles, and your excitement. You are an important part of our Panther Cub family, and it was wonderful to see so many families and preschool Cubs at Open House. Thank you for joining us, for your partnership, and for the joy you bring to Luce Road each day.

The excitement of these first weeks has set the stage for a year full of growth, discovery, and adventure. Together, we are building a strong foundation where curiosity and creativity shine. Let’s keep the momentum going strong, because Luce Road is the place Where Little Panther Cubs Begin Big Journeys — and we are only getting started!

This is how we Take Chances, Make Mistakes and Get Messy! Our little Panther Cubs are learning to ROAR with pride and how “we do school”!

Luce Road adopted a ROARS PLEDGE to our morning announcements to remind students what it means to ROAR everyday at School!

School starts at 11:33. Drop off begins at 11:03.

We are offering Late Start Care for K–5 from 7:00 am to 11:00 am at Luce Road. Bussing from Luce Road to other elementary schools is available.

Please send your child to school with a daily snack. Teachers also welcome whole-class prepackaged nonperishable snack donations. Healthy options are encouraged ( Whole grain crackers, Goldfish, graham or animal crackers or pretzels, rice cakes, popcorn, dry cereal cups etc.). Please check with your child’s teacher for any classroom allergy guidelines.

To pick up your child, please show your Pick Up Line Tag. If you do not have it, you must present a photo ID to the office staff. This is required every day, even if you forgot your tag.

For safety, please do not remove your child from the pick up line until a staff member dismisses them. Thank you for helping us keep all students safe.

Parents and guardians, please label your Panther Cub’s belongings, including backpack, coat, lunch box, and water bottle. Our Lost and Found is filling up, and labeled items can be returned quickly. Thank you for your help!

Please make sure you send a change of clothes in for your student. Sometimes accidents happen and it’s helpful for them to have a change of clothes.

Please make sure ALL of your student’s belongings are labeled with their name! If it gets lost, staff will know who to return it to!

We offer before and after school child care for our K-5 students. This program is housed at Luce Road ECLC. Drop off begins at 6am for before school care and pick up for after school care is until 6pm.

Transportation is available in the morning to bus students from Luce Road to their appropriate schools and from their schools to Luce Road for after care.
