East End Parent Newsletter

Our school celebrated Respect Week with a variety of activities designed to help students understand and practice respect in their everyday lives. Each day featured a themed spirit day, including Mismatch Day, which celebrated and encouraged respect for our differences; Wear Green Day, which highlighted respect for our environment; and Wear Blue and Gold Day in support of #NJgoesgoldandblue and our commitment to standing up against bullying.

Our morning announcements each day focused on a different area of respect and included simple, meaningful ways students could demonstrate respect toward themselves, others, and our school community. Our school counselor, Mrs. DiVenuta, has also been visiting classrooms to provide age-appropriate lessons and activities focused on what respect looks, sounds, and feels like. Classroom lessons will continue next week so that all students have an opportunity to participate.

Thank you to our students and families for helping make Respect Week a meaningful celebration of kindness, inclusion, and respect!
