Dress Code Reminders

The dress code policy has been reviewed with students in advisory. Students unable to follow the policy will be asked to call home for a change of clothes or offered items we have on hand.

DRESS CODE POLICY

Please take a few minutes to look over the Edmond Public Schools Dress Code policy. and STUDENT DRESS CODE (REGULATION). Here are a few key points.

  • Hats/Headwear: Students shall not wear hats or headwear in classrooms unless a medical or religious exception exists.

  • Clothing: Clothing must cover areas from one armpit across to the other armpit, down to the upper thighs. Tops must have shoulder straps. Rips or tears in clothing should be below the pocket area of jeans or pants. The top and bottom clothing items must be touching (No mid-drift).

  • Shirts may not be sheer or mesh and must cover the entire trunk of the body. Messages on shirts shall not include illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco or other products that may not be utilized by children. Vulgar and/or obscene messages are prohibited and will be subject to discipline under the student discipline code.

  • Pants, shorts, skirts, and skorts shall be worn at the waist and must be no shorter than mid-thigh.

  • No Sunglasses

NO BLANKETS-

  • We would like to remind everyone that blankets are discouraged. If a student brings a blanket to school, it will be confiscated and returned to them at the end of the school day. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Dismissal Pickup Lines

We need your assistance in keeping Covell as open as possible in the afternoon. I am including the map for pickup and drop-off. There is still plenty of room to pull around using Prairie Village Drive and the Kelly entrance. This would provide a safer waiting area than on an active four-lane road. Please consider using this entrance for pickup or pulling into the parking lot to wait for your student.

Edmond Public Schools Student Technology Protection Plan - DUE BY SEPT 16TH

To purchase, go to https://ok-edmond.intouchreceipting.com/ and log into our EPS online payment system.

EPS students will be issued a technology package including a Chromebook or iPad, charging cord, and protective carrying case. The Student Technology Protection Plan, STPP, gives parents the option to purchase a protection plan to cover the repair or replacement costs of the technology package. Families are strongly encouraged but not required to participate in this voluntary program. For STPP to be effective, payment must be made prior to any incident for which the STPP will cover. Payments for the protection plan will be accepted beginning July 15, 2026. The plan is effective until the first day of school in the 26-27 school year.

You can pay online or with cash or check. $20.

September Statements may reflect the following depending on the student's classes and needs.

Art Fee for Elective Class $15

Choir Fee for Elective Class $30

ID Badge/Lanyard $6

Student IDs

Students are required to wear their student ID every day. The ID badges contain an RFID card that will be scanned when riding the school bus each day. The ID badge also allows students to check out library books, check in to school, and to purchase breakfast and lunch items, as well as be used for our new pass system during the school day. Having and wearing your student ID allows us to provide a safe environment by identifying Cheyenne Students and Staff as belonging to our school!

Middle School Football Game Expectations

We want all fans to enjoy our football games. In order for this to happen, students will be asked to follow the game expectations. Student game expectations:

  • Not sitting on the east side bleachers (all fans in home-side stands, west side)
  • Sit with family or student section
  • No one on the field, track area, or field house area
  • Appropriate Language and Interactions with one another
  • Not loitering in concourse area. Socializing is okay, but you are here to cheer on the Mustangs; you will be directed to sit in the stands.
  • Pickup after the game must be on time; we announce when you should request your ride to be on the way!
  • Behavior: students not following guidelines will be asked to call home and leave the game early
