Mr. Macken's Message

Centerville Families,

As we wrap up our I Love to Read Month, I want to take a moment to thank you for the encouragement and support you gave your children throughout the month.

It has been incredible to see how motivated students become when they set reading goals and have adults cheering them on. One of the best parts of this month is that the excitement often turns into lasting habits. When students begin to see themselves as readers, it can truly change their trajectory.

I had a couple of parents share with me how much this month increased their child’s desire to read at home. That is powerful. It is a reminder that when school and families work together, great things happen for kids.

Thank you for helping create time for reading, asking questions about books, celebrating progress, and reinforcing the importance of literacy at home. You play a vital role in your child’s growth, and we are grateful for your partnership.

Let’s keep the momentum going.

Go Cougars!

Mike Macken
