On Tuesday, students participated in our first school-wide assembly of the year as we kicked off our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) initiative!

PBIS is a proactive, team-based framework designed to create and maintain safe, positive, and effective learning environments. Our focus is on preventing problem behaviors, teaching and reinforcing positive social skills, and using problem-solving strategies to address behavior concerns.

During the assembly, students were introduced to the LES Ticket System and learned how they can earn tickets by demonstrating our school-wide expectations. Be Safe, Be Nice, and Work Hard. Students also learned about the exciting experiences and prizes they can work toward by redeeming their tickets.

We even had a surprise appearance from our very own Viking drummer!

Parents should remain in their vehicles and have their child's number ready when arriving for pick-up.

For students in Kinderstart - 3rd grade, parent pick-up is at the front of the building ONLY. Please do not pick up students behind the school or at the north doors. The north doors are used for GSRP and ECSE ONLY. This procedure is in place to help ensure the safety of all students and families.

If you need to buckle your child in, please get them in the vehicle and pull forward. This will help keep the flow of traffic in the pick-up line moving.

Thank you!
