Chapman University

Spotlight on..... CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY! Located in beautiful Southern California, and just minutes from Disneyland Park, Chapman University is a private research university with 7,656 undergraduate students. The student body is made up of students coming from 49 states, 2 territories and 82 countries. With a 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio, Chapman maintains a strong focus on the teacher-student relationship as well as an emphasis on personal growth, campus involvement, and global citizenship. 20% of students are first generation, 40% of students identify as Persons of Color (POC); there are 175+ student organizations. 92% of first-year students live on campus, and 89% of students stay on campus during their second year. 42% of students study abroad. Chapman students proudly wear their red and black school colors around the lively and picturesque campus, and their mascot, Pete the Panther, can often be seen making campus visits. Chapman athletes compete in NCAA Division III in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). Chapman’s most popular majors are Business, Cinematography/Video Production, Psychology, Communications, and Political Science. Chapman is a collaborative community offering a blend of liberal arts, science and professional programs, and students who choose Chapman University are looking to make something: films, business models, lines of code – something special to put out into the world. Some notable Chapman alumni are actress Jodie Sweetin, actor Colin Hanks, comedienne/SNL alum Leslie Jones, and Olympic swimmer Kate Ziegler. Students can apply to Chapman University via the Common App and can decide whether or not they wish to have their standardized test scores included in their application process (test optional). November 1st is the deadline for Early Action, Early Decision, and Film and Television Production applications. January 15th is the deadline for Regular Decision applications. Scholarship and financial aid information can be found here.
