💛 Priming the Pump with Positivity!
💛 Principal’s Message
“The best way to raise positive children in a negative world is to have positive parents who love them unconditionally and serve as excellent role models.” — Zig Ziglar
Welcome back from Fall Break, Dealey Families! 🍂 I hope you enjoyed a week filled with rest, joy, and family time. It’s wonderful to see our students return refreshed and ready to start Quarter 2 strong.
This week’s quote from Zig Ziglar reminds us that the example we set for our children has the greatest influence on who they become. Ziglar often spoke about “priming the pump” — the idea that, just like a water pump, you have to keep working at it with faith and consistency before the water begins to flow.
As parents, teachers, and caregivers, we do the same with our children. Each word of encouragement, each boundary set with love, and each act of patience is part of “priming the pump” for their growth and success. The results don’t always come immediately, but when they do, the flow of confidence, kindness, and perseverance is unstoppable.
Thank you for continuing to model positivity and love both at home and at school. Together, we’re building a community where our Dragons thrive through the steady stream of encouragement and care that surrounds them. 💛🐉
🐉 Dealey Shout-Outs & Highlights
✨ Thank you to our Middle School staff, students, Mrs. Powell, and Ms. Morales for completing the See Something, Say Something required training last week. Your teamwork and commitment to safety help protect and strengthen our school community.
📚 Congratulations to all students for doing such an amazing job on the Quarter 1 Standard Mastery Checks (SMCs)! We are proud of your focus, growth, and hard work as we begin Quarter 2.
👷🏾♂️ A big thank-you to our incredible Dad’s Club for beginning renovations on our chicken coops! 🐔 Your hands-on support continues to make Dealey’s Montessori environment even more special for our students.
🎓 Thank you to Ms. Morales for organizing and hosting a successful 8th Grade High School Transition Night! Your guidance ensures our families feel confident and prepared for the next chapter.
🎻 Bravo to Ms. Russell and our Middle School Orchestra for a truly amazing performance! The students’ talent and teamwork were inspiring and a beautiful reflection of our thriving arts program.
At Dealey, we believe that when families, students, and staff stay consistent in love and positivity, the results are extraordinary — because when we prime the pump together, the flow of success never stops.

Flock to the Trail!
The herd is moving a bit more slowly than expected on its current project, so the start date for the goats and sheep to come to the trail is now Friday, October 17 at 9:00 AM and be on the trail for up to 14 days.
Please continue to check our website for current details and to track the herd with our live, GPS updates: https://northaventrail.org/tails
Thanks for your interest in our native prairie restoration in action — and please help us get the word out!
