HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION AT LINCOLN SCHOOL
Friday, October 31, 2026
School schedule as usual until 1:30 p.m.
1:30 β Halloween Costume Parade
Classroom celebrations will begin upon returning from the parade.
3:15 β Dismissal as usual
Β· It will be a regular school day until 1:30 p.m., when Lincoln staff and students will get ready for the parade.
Β· For safety and organizational reasons, students should NOT be picked up at lunchtime to go home and change into their costumes.
Β· Students should wear their costumes to school.
Β· If students need to change at school, it should be a costume they can put on independently. I would suggest practicing with younger students.
Β· Alternate activities will be available for students who do not celebrate Halloween.
Β· Students who do not wish to participate in the costume parade/fall party may either participate in alternate activities or be signed out and picked up in the office at 1:15 p.m.
Β· Please send a note to your classroom teacher if you are picking up your child early.
Β· Any costume representing violence or blood will not be permitted in school.
Β· NO weapons or weapon look-alike costumes are allowed in school.
Β· Students may bring masks that are part of their costumes only if their view is not obstructed.
Β· Aerosol sprays, like hair spray or paint will NOT be permitted in school.
Β· Families are invited to watch the Halloween parade outside (weather permitting) at 1:30 p.m. Below is the route we will follow.
PTA Volunteers
Volunteers may enter the building at 1:20 to help with party preparation and the parade.
Β· Volunteers must bring a valid ID to the main office to receive a Visitorβs Badge before going to the classroom.
Β· All other families are encouraged to join us for the parade outside.
Β· Please make childcare arrangements for younger siblings, if possible.
Please remember that food treats or candy are no longer able to be shared.
Students will be permitted to bring only non-food items to pass out.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION!
Attendance Matters! πΎ
πΎ Attendance Matters at Lincoln! ππ
Dear Lincoln Families,
We are working hard this year to improve attendance and tardies and make coming to school every day fun and exciting for our students!
π― Our school-wide goal is to have at least 95% of our students at school each day! We need everyoneβs help to reach our goal!
We have some fun attendance incentives happening at Lincoln:
πΆ Bones & Max: Each week, the classes with the highest attendance get to have one of our stuffed Bulldogs, Bones or Max, stay in their classroom for the week!
ποΈ Golden Tickets: Classes can earn Golden Tickets for meeting their weekly attendance goal.
π Surprise Attendance Days: You never know when we might have a Surprise Attendance Day! Students who are at school that day can earn a special surprise or reward.
Every day at school matters, and being on time matters too! Thank you for helping your child arrive at school each day and be ready to learn.
π₯ Check out the video to learn more about our attendance incentives!
Letβs work together to reach 95% every day! Keep showing up, Bulldogs! πΎππ
Dental Screenings
Dental Smile Squad will be visiting Lincoln on October 22nd & 23rd to provide FREE dental cleanings for our students!
This is a great opportunity for students who need a new dental exam, especially our Kindergarten and 2nd Grade students, who are required to have an updated dental exam.
π Forms were sent home with students. If you need an additional form, please call the school office or stop by. I have also attached them below! If you would like your child to participate, please make sure the form is completely filled out and returned to school no later than October 15th.
Take advantage of this convenient and FREE opportunity right here at Lincoln! πΎππ
π Help Us Keep Morning Drop-Off Moving! πΎ
Please help us keep our morning drop-off line moving safely and efficiently so we can get all of our Bulldogs into the building by 8:40 AM!
There is no need to get out of your carβwe have staff members outside ready to open car doors and help students out. Please pull all the way forward when there are no cars in front of you. Do not stop at Door 14 to unload if there is space to continue pulling forward.
We know you love watching your child walk safely into the building (and we love that! π), but waiting in the drop-off lane can quickly back up the line. Once your child is safely out of the car, please continue moving so we can welcome the next Bulldog.
Thank you for helping us make mornings safe, smooth, and on time! πππΎ
