Principal's Note
Dear MMES Families,
I can't even begin to describe the gratitude I have for everyone who coordinated, volunteered, and contributed to the MMPTO's "Fun-a-thon!" The culminating event took place on Wednesday with a super fun glow dance party. I am so grateful to the staff and families who worked together to put on a really fun event for the kids! I must say that one of the best parts was seeing all of the parents in the building laughing, smiling, and working together to make sure everything was just perfect for the kids. And the look of excitement and joy on the students faces...priceless!
Thank you to everyone who helped me with nurse substitute leads! While I enjoyed my two days job sharing as principal and school nurse, I am happy to report that I was able to hire a couple of nurse substitutes! Thanks again!
Have a great weekend!
Best,
John
Enrichment at Memorial
On Monday, our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders enjoyed a live performance by actress Sheryl Faye. She presented the life of Susan B. Anthony, the famous women's rights activist. Sheryl brought Susan to life through a multimedia learning experience and captivated the attention of our students. They were able to ask questions following her presentation and she was so impressed by their thoughtfulness. This event was organized by the PTO Enrichment Committee and made possible thanks to your generous donations to the MMPTO.
Family Education Night at Memorial
Please join us for a parent/caregiver Math and Literacy event at MMES on Wednesday, March 19, 6-7pm. Our elementary instructional coaches, Beth LeDoux and Hana McGowan, will share strategies and engaging activities to reinforce math and literacy learning at home. This event is for parents/caretakers. We look forward to meeting you!

Change of clothes: Each student should have a complete change of clothes in case of spills, wetness from snow or rain, and any accidents.
This winter has been particularly cold, and although we've spent much of the month indoors, we try to take students outside for fresh air whenever the temperature "feels" above 20°F. Please make sure your child comes to school prepared with a winter hat, gloves, boots, jacket, and snowpants.
Stay healthy and have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you all for your cooperation, any questions or concerns please call or email,
