๐ฌ A Note from Dr. Kari Roan
Mustang Families & Students:
Welcome back after your long weekend! While I hope it was a wonderful time of rest for you all, please know that we are so excited to welcome you all back to Mustang Country!
This week is an exciting week on the West Side of our district: as Richland High School, our feeder high school, prepares to celebrate its first ever Forthcoming (what comes before Homecoming), we are excited to partner with them in the celebration! See below for this week's dress up days that were shared on socials and via our live feed last week!. We can't wait to see our school spirit!
To top it all off, we will end the short week with our first ever pep rally! We do things โจMAGNIFICENTLYโจ here at Moseley, and pep rallies are no exception! In order to make sure all students can enjoy the pep rally comfortably, we host two pep rallies- one for 7th/8th grades and one for 6th grade. As a result, the bell schedule will be a little different and we will introduce mega-lunch: all of a grade level has their lunch at the same time with seating options inside and outside. We encourage students to bring their lunch on pep rally days since the menu will be slightly condensed, but all students who need to purchase food can. Communication regarding the start of lunches and details for students in OCPE will be shared later in the week.
Since we are so packed, we are not able to accommodate parents or guardians as guests, but PTO membership has its perks! Stay tuned for ways to win a seat at one of our upcoming pep rallies by joining Moseley PTO!
As we head into week 4 on campus, now is a great time to check in with your student about how they are managing their time and their workload. A tool that some of our students and staff use is this weekly agenda. You can download a copy and work with your student to start a new one each week.
Letโs continue to work together to make this year one of the best yet at Moseley.
Let's RIDE!

Wellness Reminder: Reset Tool
Tip: ๐กTeach your child a quick reset strategy like "box breathing" (inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4). It is simple enough for middle schoolers and helps regulate stress before before assessments or after conflicts.
