Week of October 26, 2026
Hello Nashoba Community,
I hope you had a great weekend.
As the end of Quarter 1 approaches on October 30th, we encourage students and families to check in on academic progress and stay current with assignments. Students who have questions, need support, or have work to complete should connect with their teachers now and make a plan for finishing the quarter strong. Please check teachers’ websites and Google Classroom for extra help availability, and encourage your student to take advantage of these opportunities. Reaching out early can help students feel more confident and prepared as the quarter comes to a close. Let's finish the quarter strong!
Teen Mental Health First Aid
This past week, we kicked off Teen Mental Health First Aid (TMHFA) with our ninth-grade students during Wellness classes! Students did a great job participating, engaging in discussions, and learning about mental health and how to support themselves and others. We appreciate their thoughtful participation and look forward to continuing with Session 2 this coming week!
Have a wonderful week!

German National Honor Society
On October 22, the German National Honor Society hosted a fun after-school Oktoberfest celebration! About 25 students joined in the festivities, enjoying Bavarian music, Wiener Schnitzel, Brezeln (pretzels), Apfelschorle (sparkling apple juice), and Gummibärchen (gummy bears).
The event was a wonderful opportunity for students to experience German culture, traditions, and food while spending time together. A big thank-you to the students who helped organize this memorable celebration!
Nashoba is proud to offer one of the area's outstanding German language programs! Our German program is one of the things that makes Nashoba unique, giving students the opportunity to explore a new language, experience another culture, and participate in memorable traditions like Oktoberfest.
Check out the photos below to see some of the fun!

Portrait of a Nashoba Graduate - Communications Competency
This October, Nashoba Regional High School is spotlighting Communication, one of the competencies in our Portrait of a Nashoba Graduate. Throughout the month, students and staff are encouraged to notice and celebrate examples of effective communication in classrooms, extracurricular activities, and everyday conversations. Students develop this competency by expressing ideas clearly, listening thoughtfully, and adapting their message to different audiences and purposes. We invite families to join this effort by asking students to share examples they have noticed, encouraging them to explain their thinking, and discussing how word choice, tone, and empathy shape a message. Together, we can help students strengthen skills they will use in school and beyond.
