ARHS Updates
September 13th, 2026

A Note from Mrs. Garcia
I hope our Patriot families had a wonderful weekend! We continue to have a great deal happening across campus, and this week is no exception. Between testing, college and career planning, and even a little construction at the front of the school, we are certainly putting the “Charting” in Charting the Course this week!
This Tuesday, September 15, our 9th and 10th grade students will participate in PM1 testing, and we will operate on a modified schedule.
We ask families to please have a conversation with their students about the importance of taking PM1 seriously and giving their very best effort. The results provide us with important information about where students are academically, where additional support may be needed, and how we can adjust instruction throughout the year. In other words, clicking through just to finish quickly does not help the student or their teachers!
Please encourage your student to arrive on time, well rested, and prepared to give their best effort throughout the assessment.
Families may also notice work beginning at the front of our campus. We are resurfacing the front of the school, a project we anticipate will take a little over a month to complete. There may be some temporary adjustments as the work progresses, and we appreciate everyone's patience as we continue to improve our campus.
Also, a reminder that College and Career Night will be held Monday, September 14, at 5:30 PM at Golden Gate High School. This is a great opportunity for students and families to explore options and begin conversations about what comes after high school.
Finally, there will be no school for students on Monday, September 21, as our teachers participate in a full-day professional development and inservice day.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our Patriots as we continue Charting the Course together.
All day, every day, the Patriot Way!

A Note from the Curricular Corner
Hello, Patriot Families!
This is a reminder, that on Tuesday, September 15th, all 9th and 10th grade students will take their Progress Monitoring 1 (PM1) assessment. We will be following a modified bell schedule for this test administration.
We would like to reiterate that PM1 occurs at the beginning of the school year and serves as a diagnostic tool for teachers to provide targeted instruction and track student growth from PM1 to PM2. Please discuss the importance and seriousness of this assessment, while reinforcing our continued support and encouragement for each of our students to do their very best.
As always, please ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep, enjoys a healthy breakfast, and arrives before our 7:05 am bell.
We would also like to share some information on accessing score reports. Please find the bell schedule and the score reports documents for your review and reference.
Thank you, and Go PATS!
PMI Bell Schedule: Tuesday, September 15

Celebrating Positive Patriot Behavior
We are committed to recognizing students for their positive contributions both in and out of the classroom. Our teachers regularly write Positive Referrals for students who exemplify exceptional behavior, effort, or character. Students who earn positive referrals receive coupons that can be redeemed for treats between classes at our Positive Patriot Cart.
Students can also earn Patriot Bucks from teachers and staff for positive actions throughout the day. Patriot Bucks can be redeemed at Pat's Place for a variety of rewards, including food items, squishes, t-shirts, ARHS swag, and more. Thank you for partnering with us as we encourage and celebrate positive behavior at school.
One of the greatest strengths of Aubrey Rogers High School is our exceptional educators. We invite parents, students, staff, and community members to recognize outstanding teachers for the 37th Annual Golden Apple Awards, presented by Champions For Learning. Thank-A-Teacher nominations are open through September 16, 2026. These nominations not only provide an opportunity to express appreciation for the remarkable teachers who make a difference every day, but they also play an important role in identifying Teachers of Distinction who are considered for Golden Apple honors.
