Driven with Purpose: Partnering for a Great School Year
Dear Bengal Families,
I hope you are having a wonderful, safe, and relaxing summer! My name is Joe Bishop, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Briscoe Middle School. Over the last few years, I have had the privilege of serving here as the associate principal and it is incredibly clear that the Bengal community is deeply supportive, vibrant, and dedicated to student success.
This year, our school and district will be focused on a powerful theme: Driven with Purpose. For our students, this means we are committed to helping them discover their passions, set meaningful goals, and understand the "why" behind their learning. We want every Bengal to walk into our building knowing they belong, and walk out knowing they are capable of achieving great things.
A successful school year relies heavily on a strong partnership between home and school. I am fully committed to keeping our communication open, transparent, and frequent so that we can work together to support your child's academic and emotional growth.
We are already gearing up for a fantastic return! We have some wonderful summer events lined up to help our students transition back to campus seamlessly, including our highly anticipated 6th Grade Cub Camp on August 1st, as well as various Fine Arts and community partner events detailed below.
Please enjoy these remaining weeks of summer. I cannot wait to meet you and your students very soon. Together, we will make this a purpose-driven, unforgettable school year!
See you soon,
#BriscoeProud

AVID
Do you have gently used clothes you no longer need? Want to make sure they go to a good cause?
AVID is collecting clothing donations through the donation bin located in front of the school near the parent pick-up line sign. Every item donated is converted into funds that directly support our AVID program.
The donation bin is available year-round, including over the summer, so you can drop off donations whenever it is convenient for you. We would greatly appreciate any clothing items you are able to contribute.
Even Mrs. Barnes’ fur baby, Jackson, is excited to support this wonderful opportunity! :)
Thank you for your continued support of AVID and the future leaders and scholars on our campus.
PBIS Donations
Our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) School Store is a big hit with students! They earn Bengal Bucks for showing respect, safety, responsibility, and kindness—and they love spending those bucks on fun prizes.
We’re looking for donations to help keep our Bengal Buggy stocked! If you’d like to contribute, our Amazon Wish List is linked below. Thank you for helping us celebrate our students’ positive behavior and make our PBIS program a success!

School Safety
There are lots of ways you can help us be our campus safe. For example, you can talk with your children about the importance of taking drills seriously, remaining calm, and cooperating with all staff.
Check out the District Safety Website to learn more about additional safety measures.
Our goal is that all students are safe on campus.
If you see something, say something, by calling
