A Message from Dr. Holt
Dear RFISD Community,
As we wrap up the first full month of the school year, I want to thank each of you for helping make the start of the 2025–2026 school year a strong and successful one. Our classrooms are buzzing with curiosity, our extracurriculars are thriving, and our students are settling into routines that will set them up for a year of growth, discovery, and achievement.
September has been full of activity—from athletic competitions and fine arts performances to the many behind-the-scenes efforts that keep our schools running smoothly each day. I’m grateful to our teachers and staff who continue to go above and beyond, and to our parents and families for your continued support and involvement.
As we move into October, we look forward to continuing that momentum. Fall is always a busy and exciting time in RFISD, filled with opportunities to connect, celebrate, and learn. Whether you’re attending a cross country meet, football game, or volleyball game, enjoying a band, choir, or theatre performance, or helping your student prepare for an upcoming test, please know that your involvement makes a difference.
Thank you for being an essential part of the RFISD family. Together, we are building a school year filled with purpose, pride, and progress.
Warm Regards,
Brian Holt, EdD
Superintendent
Randolph Field ISD
A Message from RFISD SRO, Detective Bornhauser
Greetings RFISD Community,
I’m Detective Bornhauser (or Officer B according to the littles), one of your two School Resource Officers. Now that we are just over a month into the new school year, I wanted to pass along a few friendly reminders to help keep our school and our students safe, while also providing some tips that can help keep all of us from unnecessary motor vehicle accidents, traffic citations, and suspension of driving privileges.
Please keep in mind that the school zones adjacent to RFISD are 15mph. The elementary school zone speed restriction is valid from 0700-1600, while the high school zone speed restriction is valid from 0730-1630. For the sake of everyone’s safety, please adhere to these speed limits and be aware of your surroundings. If you happen to get caught speeding, civilians may receive a monetary fine in addition to points on their driving record, and active duty military members will receive points on their driving record. It’s also extremely important that all drivers on JBSA installations are aware of the driving privilege suspension memorandum that was put into effect in 2024.
Drivers speeding 10+ mph above the posted speed limit will receive a 15-day suspension and drivers speeding 20+ mph above the posted speed limit will receive a 30-day suspension. These suspensions are strictly enforced, so remember- it’s better to be three minutes late than 30 days without the ability to drive on the installation.
Please note that JBSA is a hands-free zone for cellular devices while driving. If drivers are caught with a cellular device in their hands while driving for any reason (phone calls, text messages, changing the music in your vehicle, etc.), this will initiate the 30-day suspension of your driving privileges as well.
Finally, be aware of where you are parking your vehicle. Do not park in spaces labeled as handicapped parking, unless you have the appropriate license plate or placard, and do not park in reserved parking, no matter the time of day.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at bornhauser@rfisd.net.
Very respectfully,
Officer B

Once you are logged in, find your name at the top right corner of the screen, click the arrow by your name, and select "My Account"
Next, under "My Account," select the option that says "Notification Settings"
Once you are on the Notifications page, you can choose your notification preferences for email, text, and the ParentSquare app by selecting: "Instant," "Off," or "Digest" for each of the categories (email, text, and app). "Instant" means that a notification or message will be sent right away. "Digest" means that all messages/notifications will be sent later as part of the Daily/Weekly Digest summary. And, of course, "Off" means that you will not receive that type of notification. If you prefer to receive notifications in real-time, we recommend selecting "Instant."
