Wake Up Inspired and Go Home Fullfilled
YOM KIPPUR
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is one of the holiest days in the Jewish faith. It is a time for reflection, forgiveness, and renewal. We wish all members of our ARK community who observe Yom Kippur a meaningful and peaceful holiday.
STICKY CORE VALUES
Over the next few weeks, we’ll highlight our Sticky Core Values in the Knightline: Be the Driver of Your Bus, Be a Purple Cow, and Be a Marigold.
We encourage families to use this same language at home. As children become familiar with what each phrase means, a simple reminder like “Be the driver of your bus” can replace a lengthy explanation around owning your choices and empowerment and help them reset, take ownership, and be more open to a conversation about life expriences they encounter.
🚌 BE THE DRIVER OF YOUR BUS
Being the driver of your bus means taking ownership of your words, thoughts, feelings, and actions. Instead of blaming others or making excuses, you focus on what you can control and take responsibility for your choices, regardless of the situation.
Nobody can make you do anything. You always have a choice!
A COMMUNITY DISSCUSSION: TECHNOLOGY
WE hope you will join us for our first Community Discussion of the school year on Technology: screen time, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and student use of internet-enabled devices.
Join Superintendent Dr. Morton, members of our Board of Education, and administration who will review current policies, procedures, and feedback.
This meeting will take place on October 15th at 7 p.m., in the new All Purpose Room at Rosa Middle School.
During the opening presentation at Back to School Night, Mr. Park was unable to fully address attendance at Russell Knight.
Our approach to attendance is driven by our vision that every student and staff member wakes up inspired and goes home fulfilled. If you're not here, there's no way you can feel a sense of inspiration or fulfillment from the ARK experience.
These processes are designed to help us identify when students may need additional support and work in partnership with families to help them be successful.
See the video below for additional details.
