Alternate Methods of Instruction - Remote Learning
AMI Day Information
The Springdale School District will have Alternate Method of Instruction (AMI) on Thursday, February 3rd due to the inclement weather. All school buildings will be closed while students will continue to learn remotely at home.
All students in grades K-5 will need to do:
30 minutes of ST Math
30 minutes of Lexia Core 5
Log into one Zoom lesson
Assignments posted in LMS
The afternoon Zoom is a repeat of the morning Zoom. Teachers will send the Zoom link to students. Other assignments can be found in your child's LMS (Google Classroom for grades 3-5 and Seesaw for grades K-2). Teachers will load reading and math lessons as well as an optional science or social studies activity that your child can do independently. Teachers will be monitoring their emails throughout the day. Please email your child's teacher if you have any questions as your child completes lessons or if you have any trouble logging in from home. All faculty and staff emails can be found below.
We have also included fun, optional activities (music, art, library, pe, etc.) you may want to do as a family.
If there are wide-spread power outages, the district could choose to call for a regular snow day. If this is the case, students would not need to complete any assignments and a day would be added to the end of the year. We will communicate via email, text messages, school website, and social media if tomorrow changes to a snow day.
