Week #10
October 22, 2026

October 22, 2026
Dear York High School Families,
Last week was a memorable one at York High School as our school community came together for Spirit Week and Homecoming! The enthusiasm across campus was contagious, starting with our Seniors gathering on Friday morning for the annual Senior Breakfast. Our Class of 2027 set a fantastic example by enjoying music, food, and quality time together in the Commons. Special thanks to Senior class advisors: Mrs. Dold, Mr. O' Brien, and Mr. True for making this a memorable event!
The positive energy carried right through to our high-spirited student-staff volleyball match, and our Homecoming Dance on Friday evening, where students danced until the very last song. To cap it all off, our Wildcats displayed great pride and energy during Saturday's Homecoming athletic events, drawing fantastic crowd support from families and alumni. Kudos to Ms. Masterson and Mrs. Trafton for organizing a great week!
We enthusiastically recommend joining the webinar on Tuesday, October 27th, hosted by Lynn Lyons! Following her recent presentation to the York School District staff, we received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our team. Her practical, real-world strategies for managing anxiety and building resilience are invaluable for both educators and parents alike.
As always, if you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

The Student Resource Hub
We have also created a new Student Resource Hub bookmark to make it easier for students to access important digital forms and resources. The Hub includes forms that were previously located in the Front Office Documents folder, including:
- Late Arrival/Early Dismissal Form
- Dance Guest Form
- Extended Absence Form
- And other commonly used student forms and resources
We encourage students to familiarize themselves with the Student Resource Hub, which will provide a convenient, centralized location for accessing these forms throughout the school year.
School Breakfast & Lunch
School meals continue to be available to all students at no charge again this year, regardless of household income. Students are eligible for one breakfast and one lunch. Student lunch schedules will be based on the classes they are in for block 3. Teachers will share lunch information with students on the first day of school.
