**Girls may choose a plaid skirt or jumper as an OPTION to the uniform.

Dress Down Days:
Student dress down days are scheduled each Friday starting August 8, 2025. Students that participate dress down days are asked to pay $1. This money is used for our student celebrations, school gardens and many other activities throughout our school. Parents will have the option to pay for all dress down days through SchoolCash. Information on this is forthcoming.
The LAST FRIDAY of each month is designated as Marshpoint School Spirit days. This is a FREE dress down day (or fun themed day) for students and participating students are asked to wear school spirit wear or school colors (navy/white) on this day.
Attendance Matters!
SCCPSS wants you to know that your attendance matters. Students and schools thrive when students attend every day, and both students and parents are actively engaged. Here are the top 3 reasons your attendance and participation matter.
- Regular school attendance has been linked to increased academic success, better social skills, and on-time graduation for students. When you miss school, you miss important opportunities to gain knowledge, build skills, and develop important relationships that contribute to your success.
- School helps you build important skills for life. Attending school on time and regularly are important traits that help students prepare for future careers and the world of work. Additionally, students can learn the importance of teamwork by working with classmates on projects and assignments. Working with others to achieve a successful outcome helps build a positive school environment and is a skill employers desire.
- Attending school regularly provides social engagement opportunities. Through service learning opportunities, participation in school-based organizations, pep rallies, and more, attending school regularly offers students the opportunity to learn from one another and share important experiences.
School Attendance information:
Please be sure to check your child's attendance in the PowerSchool Parent Portal thoughout the school year. Per SCCPSS Attendance Policy, parents of students with 10 or more Unexcused/ Unverified absences must request an Attendance Waiver for promotion to the next grade level. Families of students with excusive unresolved unexcused attendance marks will be contacted for meetings with the Attendance Committee.
- To ensure that Choice Program and Administratively Placed students continue to meet program criteria, overall attendance will be reviewed each quarter. Families will be contacted if necessary.
- As we update our records for this school year, your family may be asked to provide valid proof of residency to the school. If you are asked to provide Proof of Address documentation, please upload it to the Student Change of Address Form in the PowerSchool Parent Portal (even if your address has not changed). Please visit the Registration Page of the district website for guidance on Proof of Address documentation that can and cannot be accepted. All documentation must be in a legal parent/ guardian's name and dated within 30 days. Utility bills are preferred.
POWER SCHOOL PARENT ACCESS
How do I get started using the PowerSchool Parent Portal?
Visit the Parent Portal by clicking here:
I do not have a Parent Access account.

I forgot my login credentials for the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
If you already have an account and do not remember your username and password, please click the reset Username/Password on the Parent Access login screen here: https://sccpss.powerschool.com/public/account_recovery_begin.html
Do I have to answer all the questions?
Questions marked with a red asterisk (*) are required.
What if I make a mistake?
If you would like to make a change prior to submitting the form, navigate back to the page using the “< Prev” and “Next >” buttons or click on the underlined field on the Review page. If you have already submitted the form, you will need to contact your student’s school to make the changes.
I’ve completed the form, now what?
Once you have finished entering your information, click “Submit" to send the information to the school. If you cannot click on this button, you will need to make sure that you have answered all required questions.
What if I have more than one student in the district? Do I need to do this for each child?
Yes, you will need to provide information that is specific to each child. We recommend that you complete and submit one form and then start another. This will allow you to “snap” (or share) selected family information, which will save you time.
Breakfast and lunch are free for all students!
Did you know? Lunch AND breakfast are FREE to all SCCPSS students this year. We want to make sure students have the tools and fuel they need to succeed! Because EVERY day matters.
*October menu will be posted next week.
Have a concern? Let us know!
When concerns arise, we ask that you please reach out to the school immediately. Reaching out to the classroom teacher, counselor, or front office staff is often the best first step.
We work hard to promote our school in our community. We think it is a wonderful place and want to work alongside you to make it even better.
