Academy Announcements
Dear Academy Families and Friends,
Last week we had a very busy first full week of January. We had School Council, Parent Council and the ROAR awards on top of a week full of teaching and learning. We also saw the launch of our winter clubs, we're excited to bring back these extra-curricular opportunities for our students! Here are some additional things to know happening here at Academy!
- Last Friday, we recognized student leadership in all grades. Mrs. Young's 1st grade class won the Jr. Golden Paw and Ms. Martin's class won the Golden Paw. Mrs. Tuplin and Mr. Murphy received the Staff Shining Star Award.
- Tuesday is a half day of school for the students due to professional development. Dismissal is at 11:50AM.
- ACCESS testing for our English Language Learners continues this week.
- Tomorrow is the last day for the Mitten Tree donations-thank you again for all your donations!
- Grade 3 will be taking a field trip this Friday up to the WHS Planetarium. This will tie in with the curriculum with their latest Wit & Wisdom text, Starry Messenger.
- The School Store returns this week on Wednesday, January 15th.
