ALC Career Nights πΌ
ALC Career Nights are a great opportunity for students (8th grade and up) and parents to hear directly from directors and professors in specific content areas at UVU and MTech. Itβs a chance to learn more about programs and careers they may be interested in, ask questions, and visit with both college representatives and ALC teachers in those program areas.
There is no registration required, students and parents can just show up to any Career Night that interests them.
Hope to see you there!

Attendance Basics π―
Excusing Absences: All absences must be excused by a parent or guardian during the term in which the absence occurred.
1st Period Tardies: A parent or guardian may excuse up to five 1st period tardies per term. After a student reaches the five parent-excused tardies, they may choose to work off additional tardies with a teacher or by attending Math Lab.
Tardies During the School Day: Parents or guardians may not excuse tardies that occur during the school day unless the student was previously checked out through the office. Students may choose to make up these tardies.
Closed Campus: Salem Junior High is a closed-campus school. Students may not leave campus without being checked out through the office by a parent or guardian. This includes lunchtime; students may not leave campus for lunch unless they have been properly checked out through the office.
Group Check-Outs: Due to the increased challenges and workload for teachers and staff, group check-outs are not permitted.
Lunch-Time Check-Outs: During lunchtime, it can be difficult to locate students. To help avoid delays, please check students out a little before lunch begins or after lunch is over.
Thanks, parents and students, for helping us make attendance a little less dramatic! π
