Beginning in January 2026, Beaufort County Schools will use ParentSquare for all school and district communications. This means:

● All messages from Coosa Elementary will arrive through ParentSquare starting in January.

● We will no longer use BrightArrow for school messages.

Why this matters for you:

● ParentSquare gives you more control: choose how and how often you receive messages (text, email, app notifications).

● You can message your child(ren)’s teachers and other school staff directly through the app.

● To customize your account and start using these features, please download the ParentSquare app using the QR code below.

IMPORTANT DETAIL: Please make sure you sign up using the same email address you have provided in PowerSchool in order to connect your account to Coosa/your student(s). If you no longer check the email you provided in PowerSchool and would like to change it, please send the new email address to Mrs. Tyson at nichelle.mcewen-tyson@beaufort.k12.sc.us.

All Extended Learning After School Program community sites (Lady's Island Baptist) will be closed from December 15, 2025-January 9, 2026. Students will take their normal (Friday) transportation - bus or car - from December 15 - 19 and January 7-9. Services will resume on January 12, 2026.

Many of our students have been hired for schools jobs that assist with our school community! We are so proud of the initiative and interest that our students have shown to obtain these jobs. We want to update family members here to let you know that most of our school jobs will not start until January 2026. Please be looking for communication from one of the teachers/staff members below regarding your child's school job, but this communication will likely not be sent until after Winter Break.
