From Your Principals
Meet the Teacher yesterday was such a wonderful way to kick off the school year! It was so great to see our students and families, reconnect with familiar faces, and welcome some new ones to Bolin. The energy in the building was contagious, and we’re ready for a fantastic year ahead!
Tomorrow is the first day of school, and we can’t wait to welcome our Blazers back and officially Saddle Up for Success together! We’re looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and connection.

School Hours
School Hours: 7:45 am - 2:55 pm
Our doors open at 7:30 am, and the school day begins at 7:45 am.
Students are expected to be in class by 7:45 am when the tardy bell rings.
Learning begins right at 7:45 am each day, so it is important for your student to be on time to school each day so they are not missing important instructional minutes.
First Week of School
Thursday, August 13th - First day of school! Doors will open at 7:30 am, and parents are welcome to walk students directly to their classrooms on the first day. We ask that parents say their goodbyes when the tardy bell rings at 7:45 a.m. This will help students and teachers have a smooth transition into their first day together.
Friday, August 14th - Normal arrival procedures begin. Parents will drop off their students, and we will have staff throughout the building helping students to class. Doors will open at 7:30 am and only students will enter the building. Students in grades K-2 report to the cafeteria each morning. Students in grades 3-6 report to the gym each morning.
For the remainder of the school year. we will continue with normal arrival procedures.

Lunch Information
Please ensure that your child has money in their lunch account if they plan to purchase meals from the cafeteria. Information can be found on the AISD Student Nutrition page on how to make online payments, apply for free/reduced meals, set up restrictions, view menus, and more!
We will begin having lunch visitors after Labor Day. A sign up form will be sent out for you to sign up if you'd like to come have lunch with your child. For these next few weeks, we will be working on establishing our lunch room procedures prior to having visitors.
Arrival and Dismissal
Map is located below.
Student safety is our primary concern. In order to provide the safest environment for our children, Bolin has an organized drop-off and pick-up plan. This traffic flow was developed in collaboration with the City of Allen and City of Parker Traffic Engineers, and it is very important that you follow this map when dropping off and picking up your children from school each day. Thank you in advance for helping us keep our children safe.
Safety Reminders
• Students should keep the door of the vehicle closed until it comes to a complete stop next to the curb and then exit and enter the car from the curbside only.
• Vehicles are not allowed to stop for student drop-off or pick-up in the outside lane of traffic or in the parking lot. Students should only exit and enter the vehicle next to the curb.
• Students should not walk across the parking lot unattended. If a parent parks in the lot, he/she must walk the children across at the crosswalk.
• Please avoid cell phone use while driving through the parking lot or in the school zone.
• Please be patient with our staff and each other.
