Welcome to the start of a fantastic new school year! I hope you have all enjoyed a restful, fun-filled summer with family and friends.

Our entire team has been working hard to prepare for a smooth, welcoming return:

• Teachers have been busy designing engaging new lessons and setting up engaging classroom learning environments

• Support Staff (secretarial, nursing, custodial, and food service) have been working to ensure our buildings are spotless, organized, and ready to start the new school year

• Administrators have been finalizing schedules, interviewing and hiring outstanding new talent to join our schools

• Technology Staff have been inventorying and updating district equipment and managing multiple critical infrastructure projects

Key Details for the First Day: Monday, August 31st

• Grades 1–6: First full day of school.

• Kindergarten and Preschool: Classroom visits with parents/guardians. (If you missed the orientation info sent earlier this month, please reach out to the H. Olive Day School office.)

• Arrival Support: Extra staff will be present during the first few days to help students find their classrooms and feel right at home.
