Congratulations to our new School Captains for 2024, Shaneira and Jerayah. We have one faction captain decided at that is Lanton for Johns. We will decide on the captains for Pallotti and La Salle over the coming weeks. Thank you to all the students who nominated for the roles and presented their speeches to the year 2/3/4/5/6 students, you should be very proud of your hard work in preparing your presentations. I was also very proud of those students who were not successful and their mature sportsmanship in congratulating those who were successful.
Thank you to the families who attended out St John of God liturgy and assembly today. The Year 5/6 class presented the liturgy and read very well. Congratulations to our merit certificate recipients too.
Reminder to families that we ask students to wear appropriate footwear to school and this is runners or sandals with a back strap. Thongs and crocs are not appropriate footwear for school activities.
We are going to hold an Easter raffle to raise money for Caritas 2024. We would appreciate any donations so that we can create some great prizes. The raffle will be drawn on Thursday 28th March during our Easter Story Liturgy and students will need to be at school to claim their prize or it will be redrawn. All money raised will be sent directly to caritas and we will publish the amount raised in our first newsletter next term.
The Easter Story Liturgy and Assembly will be held in our Kindy classroom on Friday 28th March from 9.30am. Families are welcome to attend and share the Liturgy with our students. All classes will participate in the presentation of the Easter story. Families will be notified as usual if their child has been awarded a merit certificate.
God Bless.
Miss Melanie
