Lutherville Families,

We are still beaming from the state's recognition of the hard work and excellence coming out of Lutherville Lab and our announcement as a 5-Star School on the MD State Report Card! We know our instruction, processes, and 'way of being' help kids thrive, and it's great to have this additional validation!

We are celebrating this achievement next week! We have a spirit week for students outlined below and in partnership with the PTA, we will also be affirming the efforts of our teacher leaders.

Above and beyond the recognition, it's been an exciting few weeks at school with Monster Mile event, Costume Parade, Picture Day, and Morning Mingle launch for Read-a-Thon!! R-a-T is our biggest and most important fundraisers of the year, and is a great celebration of reading. It's also a great opportunity to get your Leopard's nose in a book, or to read together. Please join us in participating this year and helping us reach our goals!

Looking ahead, please see the times for American Education Week visitations and the pre-registration form to help us get visitors to classrooms quickly and smoothly. And note that Friday is a 1:05 dismissal for students.

I would be remiss to not recognize the valued partnership our families have in the 5-Star School accomplishment. As your children's first teachers, homework helpers, advocates, providers of secure attachment, problem-solvers, and partners in the ups and downs of childhood -- we deeply know and appreciate the difference you make for your children and their ability to learn and grow during the time they are with us. We genuinely hope that you all, too, are feeling the pride in this accomplishment for our school community.

In partnership,

-Mr. McComb

We are fortunate to have two positions for which we can hire to support students. The para-educator position posting closes in a few days and applicants do need to directly apply at the job posting which is specific to our school. The AA position does not have a hard closing date, but we will start scheduling interviews next week, so please share the opportunity and encourage applicants to apply to the pool and reach out to share their interest in Lutherville particularly.
