Winter FastBridge results (grades K-3) and NWEA MAP results (grades 4-8) will be sent home with students on Friday, February 21. To help you better understand your child's scores, please refer to the FastBridge Family Letter and MAP Family Letter for detailed explanations.

Join us for a fun-filled week celebrating books and the joy of reading!

• Monday: Read My Shirt Day & Favorite Books Door Decorating Contest (optional – keep it simple and fun!)
• Tuesday: Evening Book Week Event (March 4) – Featuring a book swap and bookmark contest! (Hosted by the Equity & Book Week Committees)
• Wednesday: Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) Day & Dress-Up Day!
• Elementary: Dress like your favorite book character

• Middle School: Cozy Up and Read Day (wear comfy clothes)
• Thursday: Shared Reading Day – Partner with another class or enjoy a read-aloud together & Dress Like an Idiom Day
• Friday: Fort & Flashlight Reading – Get cozy with a book!

The Equity Committee and the Book Week Committee have been working together to plan an exciting Book Week! As part of the celebration, Equity students are hosting a special evening event featuring local author Minda Gomez, sponsored by the Anoka County Library. The author’s visit will begin at 6:30 PM in the PAC. In the Atrium, students can vote on their favorite bookmark designs, and the top three will be printed and available in the library.

The evening will also include a book swap! Students are encouraged to bring books they’re willing to donate and exchange for a new book. Books can also be dropped off in advance at the office for Mrs. Sweeney to sort. Plus, don’t forget to check out the Book Fair, which will be open during the event!

As winter winds down, we’re excited for spring and our upcoming Elementary School Career Fair!

This month-long event, taking place in April, will give our K-5 students the chance to explore different careers and interact with professionals from our community. It will be a fun and inspiring experience!
