Good afternoon Jaguar Nation!

We have one week until Spring Break, and it has been an exciting couple of weeks at Jones with tremendous success in Fine Arts and athletics. Here are a few highlights:

Fine Arts UIL Success

  • One Act Play delivered a fantastic performance at UIL and earned 3rd place in the district. This group of students showed tremendous growth throughout the process, and we are very proud of their work.

  • Choir UIL – All three choirs earned the Sweepstakes Award for the second year in a row.

  • Band UIL – Both the Non-Varsity and Sub Non-Varsity bands earned the Sweepstakes Award for the second year in a row. Our Varsity Band will perform after Spring Break.

  • Orchestra UIL – Our orchestras will perform next week, and we look forward to supporting them.

Athletics Updates

  • Track and Field had a strong showing at the Allen Meet, bringing home several medals. They will compete again next week at McKinney North.

  • The Jones Tennis Team will compete next week at Rock Hill High School.

Next Week

  • Spring Pep Rally – Thursday
Our spring pep rally will be a neon event, with each grade level wearing a designated neon color. The grade level with the best participation will win a break time.

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS

Named by HEB’s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 32,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

🫢 THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD.
