Think about it like this... If every family gave just 50 cents a day, for each day of the school year, we would completely pass our goal.

Important Information Regarding Upcoming Schedule Changes
I want to make you aware that we will need to make a small number of student schedule changes in the coming days. I understand that schedule changes can be disruptive, especially now that students have begun settling into their classes, getting to know their teachers, and establishing routines. For that reason, these changes will only be made when absolutely necessary.
East Avenue continues to grow, which is certainly a positive reflection of our school community. Over the past two years, our student enrollment has increased by approximately 12%. Unfortunately, our staffing has not increased at the same rate. As a result, several classes are currently at or above our contractual class-size limit of 33 students in core academic subjects.
Creating a middle school master schedule is more complicated than simply dividing students evenly among classes. Students have different academic needs and electives, courses are offered during specific periods, and teacher assignments and credentials also determine when and where students can be placed. Because all of these pieces are interconnected, reducing the size of one class can sometimes require changes elsewhere in a student's schedule.
We are currently reviewing the master schedule carefully to determine how we can bring our classes into compliance while affecting as few students as possible. At this time, I do not yet know which individual students may be impacted. Families will be notified directly if a schedule change is necessary for their child.
I recognize that an unexpected change may be disappointing or frustrating for students and families, particularly if a student is happy with their current teacher or class. Please know that we are not making these changes casually. We will do everything reasonably possible to minimize disruption while also ensuring that we meet our contractual obligations and maintain appropriate learning environments for all students.
I sincerely apologize in advance to any student or family affected by these changes, and I appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the challenges that come with a growing school community.
Protect Your Student's Chromebook for as low as $22 with School Device Coverage!
I cannot stress enough the importance of getting this insurance. Your kids walk around with chromebooks everyday and don't always treat them well. From accidentally dropping them, throwing their backpacks around with their chromebooks inside, and just random things that happen, this insurance covers it.
Our District has partnered with School Device Coverage to offer parents optional, affordable insurance coverage for 1st through 12th-grade students’ LVJUSD-issued Chromebooks. (TK and Kindergarten students use a class set of Chromebooks when needed and are not issued individual devices. This coverage does not apply to students in TK or Kindergarten.)
Replacement costs without insurance can be as costly as $399 per device. School Device Coverage offers two policies, Basic and Expanded.
Coverage can be purchased through October 31, 2026, to insure your student’s Chromebook through July 31, 2027. (Coverage of device begins after the purchase of a policy has been processed and MUST be purchased before any damage occurs.) Policies can be purchased online at https://schooldevicecoverage.com/signup
Contact School Device Coverage directly at 1(888) 978-3515 with any questions
