Daniel Feeney Preschool Update
May 16, 2025
The year is passing too quickly! We are working hard at preschool and the students are flourishing. It is incredible to see the growth they have made over the year across all areas: communication, self-help, socially, and foundational pre-academic concepts. We look forward to the five weeks ahead and will make the most of every moment.
Be well,
Julie
Walpole High School Clap Out Monday, May 19
WHS seniors and former Elm Street School students, will be "clapped out" by the students and staff at Elm and DFP. We will be outside seated on the sidewalk and cheer as the seniors pass by wearing their cap and gowns.
The WHS students are expected to arrive at 8:45 which will likely impact our arrival traffic. Please allow a couple of extra minutes and we will open the doors a couple of minutes earlier on Monday to allow our students to get situated before the clap out.
Family Survey
You should have received—or will soon receive—an email invitation to participate in the Walpole Public Schools district-wide Family School Climate Survey. The purpose of the survey is to learn more about you and your child’s experiences in our schools. We have partnered with K12 Insight to administer the survey, gather responses, and analyze the feedback. The insights we collect will play a key role in guiding our School Councils as they develop School Improvement Plans for the upcoming year. We sincerely appreciate your input. Thank you for your continued partnership in helping us create the best possible learning environment for all students.
Spring Reminders
Now that spring is here, a few reminders:
Please apply sunscreen at home if you wish. We cannot apply it at school.
Safe footwear is important! Please no flip flops or sandals. They run - a lot.
Please label sweatshirts and jackets so we can make sure they get home safely.
Refillable water bottles are the best options for school so we can refill them as needed.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Field Day is May 30
Our annual Field Day is Friday, May 30! It is a fun day for the kids as there are several fun and novel outdoor events planned - more details to come. However, please plan on sending your child to school in a swim suit for some water play activiites and they wear sunscreen.
Please pack the following:
