Finals Week is December 15-19
Dear Chap Parents/Guardians,
Finals week is December 15 through the 19. We take pride in this week, as it gives students an opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have acquired this semester. In addition, the exams, projects and presentations that will take place in our classrooms prepare students for similar “high-stakes” situations after their graduation from high school.
Please remember:
Finals bell schedule.
Preparation is extremely important. Discuss finals with your student(s) and strategies you use to prepare for big events in your life.
Teachers are available each morning of finals week during homeroom sessions for your student(s) to ask questions or get further assistance.
Link Crew is offering a study session for freshmen on December 11 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the CHS Commons.
Information about student tutors may be found on our website
Encourage your student(s) to get a good night’s sleep and eat before their finals
Bus Transportation will run on a regular day schedule - no early pick-up.
Finals are scheduled for half days. If a student cannot arrange transportation home after their final ends, they are expected to study quietly in the Commons.
No lunches will be served after finals.
Friday, December 19, is a teacher work/grading day and no students will be in attendance.
Semester grades will be posted on December 19.
We wish all of our students success on their finals.

The inaugural Chap Cares Campaign has been a tremendous success! Throughout the past week, students have demonstrated kindness across our campus, highlighting the compassion and unity within the Chap Fam. We extend our sincere appreciation to our generous sponsors, whose pledged donations for each act of kindness helped make this initiative possible. Please go and support them as they have supported us.
Lost & Found
There are shoes, jackets, lunch bags, clothing and so many water bottles all waiting to be claimed!
All items in Chaparral's lost and found collection bins will be donated to charity during the winter break. Please remind your student(s) to look through the containers for their misplaced items.

Freshman and Sophomore Parents:
Can You Help?
We are excited to announce that planning is beginning for this year's After Prom event.
After Prom is in need of getting Freshman and Sophomore parents involved in planning.
With this being a 100% parent run event we are trying to figure out how to get the word out so After Prom can continue for future classes.
It looks like we have enough money to continue for the next 2 years. After that we will not have the funds to continue After Prom without planning ahead.
Please contact Heidi (hbminnesota@yahoo.com) or Kendra (bacowhite6@gmail.com) if you are willing to help.
Please join us at our future meeting dates in the library
