A Prayer for Grandparents
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of grandparents—
for their wisdom, their guidance, and their unconditional love.
Bless them for the many ways they care,
the stories they share, and the faith they pass on to their families.
May they always feel valued, cherished, and held close in Your care.
Grant them good health, joy, and the comfort of knowing
how deeply they are loved by You and by us.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Welcome back to Term 3!
I hope our wonderful students and St Denis families had a restful break and are feeling refreshed for a full and exciting term ahead. It was a joy to catch up with students on Tuesday morning and hear their enthusiastic holiday stories! From adventures in Fiji, Bali, Augusta and Dunsborough, to cosy days spent in pyjamas reading books, going to the movies, catching up with friends and simply relaxing.
Term 3 is traditionally a busy one, filled with exciting learning opportunities and this year is no exception. I encourage you to keep an eye on our SEESAW messages to stay informed as we progress through the term.
Single Stream Network Meeting
Tomorrow, St Denis is proudly hosting the Single Stream Principal Network meeting at 9:30am in our school hall. Around twenty Principals and CEWA representatives will gather to discuss the strengths, challenges and opportunities within our Catholic schools, and how CEWA supports us in our unique contexts.
I look forward to the networking and learning this opportunity provides, as well as the chance to showcase our wonderful school.
Grandparents Mass and Morning Tea
Next Thursday, 31 July, we are thrilled to be holding our inaugural Grandparents’ Day Mass and Morning Tea. Mass will commence at 9:00am at St Denis Church, followed by a special morning tea back at school.
While students will have their usual morning tea, our wonderful P&F have generously supported a ‘Grandparents’ Boxed Morning Tea,’ which staff will be preparing. With around 200 grandparents expected to attend, it promises to be a joyful and busy morning. We’ll have several welcoming spaces set up for grandparents to sit, relax and enjoy time with their grandchildren.
A special thanks to Eugene and Casey for their organisation of this event! It’s shaping up to be a truly memorable morning.
First Holy Communion
Next Wednesday, 30 July, we look forward to welcoming the families of our students receiving their First Holy Communion to the Parent-Child Workshop, which will be held in the school hall.
The First Holy Communion Mass will take place on Friday, 1 August at 5:30pm at St Denis Church. We keep these students and their families in our prayers as they prepare for this special sacrament.
Thank you to Mr Steffanoni for preparing the students so beautifully for this important milestone in their faith journey.
Liturgical Dance – Catholic Performing Arts Festival
The students, under the capable guidance of Mrs Watkins, have been preparing a liturgical dance for the Catholic Performing Arts. The students will perform on Monday, 4 August and information will be sent to parents via SEESAW. Thank you, Mrs Watkins, for your dedication and support in helping our students prepare for this special performance I can’t wait to see the final product.
Warm Regards,
Sarah Potts

Servite College Enrolments
Dear Parents,
As many students from your school transfer to Servite College for high school, we wanted to share the status of our future enrolments with you.
- Year 7 in 2026 – full with a waitlist (current Year 6)
- Year 7 in 2027 – full with a waitlist (current Year 5)
- Year 7 in 2028 – applications received for over 50% of places (current Year 4)
As we are experiencing an increase in applications each year, we recommend that all families apply for enrolment during Year 3 or Year 4 (an application is required for each child, whether you have older siblings attending Servite or not).
Thank you for your continued support,
Servite College
