A little bit about Mrs. Glowacki...

This is my fifth year at Royal Oak Schools and my eighth year teaching overall. I teach at both Addams and Upton Elementary as a physical education teacher, and I coach varsity softball at the high school. A few of my favorite hobbies outside of school include running, golfing, playing pickleball, exploring coffee shops, and skiing any chance I get!

Junior Olympics

Many of you are curious about Junior Olympics event that happens at the end of the school year, so I wanted to include some details about the event!

Junior Olympics is for students in grades 3rd-5th Grade only, students are able to qualify for specific events based on their fitness testing scores. The Tug-O-War event is for 5th Grade students, each 5th grader who is not participating in an event is put in a random draw to be selected. Students can only participate in ONE event. Selected students will compete against other Royal Oak elementary students at the High School Stadium in June.

To see list of JR. Olympic events click here!

The Junior Olympics will be held on Monday, June 1st 2026 @ the Royal Oak High School stadium.

(Rain Date = Tuesday, June 2nd)

All are welcome to come watch, invitations and permission slips will be sent home to qualifying students soon!

My Mission

During the time I get to spend with your child I hope to empower them with skills and knowledge that will lead them to be life long learners and movers. My goal is to bring a balance of physical fitness work, sportsmanship and FUN throughout the year ensuring no student feels left behind. I encourage you to check in with your students each week to find out more on all of the great things we are accomplishing in Physical Education.

The best part of my job is getting to spend time with YOUR kiddos.

Performance Standards

Please select the links below for more information regarding what goes into building lesson plans + units in PE as well as how your students will be assessed:

Performance Standards Kinder-2nd

Performance Standards 3rd-5th

Shoe Reminder!

My #1 job is to keep YOUR child safe... please help me do this by sending your student to school with the proper footwear on Gym days. Sandals, Crocs, heels, and winter boots are shoes that will NOT be considered as proper footwear. If your child needs to pack a pair of shoes, myself or classroom teachers will ensure they are given time to change footwear for PE. Thank you!

Community Links

Royal Oak is a great community that offers opportunities for your child to get involved outside of school, I am providing a couple links below if you are interested exploring some options!

  • Royal Oak Sandlot League
  • Royal Oak Schools (They offer a Summer Sports Camp page - updated in spring time!)
  • Royal Oak High School Athletics (Check out a High School game!)
