State of the Stable

Now that the Mustangs are back in full swing BMHS is moving and shaking. Clubs are meeting, fundraisers are in full effect. The Drama Club has announced the upcoming performance and it will be a tale as old as time: Beauty and the Beast. I for one am looking forward to this performance. Be on the lookout for the release dates upcoming in December.

The Homecoming Dance was a success!!!! The bus platform has never looked better and students and staff had a blast. The staff and students decorated and made sure the students got a night to remember. The DJ was playing and students were moving and shaking. The food was great and it will go down in history as the first outdoor Homecoming Dance in the History of Brick Memorial.

We are continuing our tradition of Green and Gold Fridays! My hope is that one day we will see all our Mustangs wearing some form of Green and Gold every Friday! The little things like this bring our community together.

A final word to our Mustang Families: Please keep up the tremendous support as we continue to have a successful and exciting school year. Stay up to date through parent portal on all your Mustangs checking in about their attendance and grades. Together we work together to help all our students achieve their goals.

We are the Champions! The Mayor's Cup Remains in the Stable.

That's right folks. On Friday, October 22, it was announced that for a 4th consecutive year, Brick Memorial High School was captured the coveted Mayor's Cup for donating the most candy to the Brick Township Trunk or Treat event. Thank you to all of the students, staff, and organizations who donated so generously to this great cause!

American Red Cross Blood Drive

Thanks to everyone for making our 2021 Mustang Blood Drive such a success!

Despite the two-year lay-off, the BMHS ROTC cadets were able to organize a drive that achieved 2 new school records:

  1. We improved on our previous donor registration record from 73 to 102 volunteers.
  2. The American Red Cross collected a total of 57 'life-saving' units of blood.

Each unit of blood donated has the potential to save up to two lives. This means hospitals can provide 114 treatments for premature babies, burn & trauma victims, patients suffering from leukemia, cardiac disease, and many other conditions that depend on blood donations for their recovery.

Halloween Door Decorating Contest

Who doesn't love Halloween?! This year, our students and staff kicked off the season with the Halloween Door Decorating contest which concluded on Friday, October 22. As always, all of the students and staff who participated did an amazing job and let their talents and commitment to school spirit show. Congratulations to Ms. Harzer and her students who earned the 1st place trophy. Check out their door below and click here to see a video of all of the awesome entries.

Halloween Costume Contest

On Friday, October 29, we closed out the month and headed into Fall break with our annual student and staff costume contest. So many staff and students participated, had a great time, and got into the Halloween spirit.

Winding Down the Fall Athletics Season

We are proud to report that our Fall seasons have largely been a success!

The Field Hockey team has qualified for the State Playoffs. Girls Tennis, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Volleyball, and Gymnastics teams have all qualified for both the Shore Conference and the NJSIAA Tournaments.

The Girls Soccer team and Volleyball team worked their way to the quarterfinals of the Shore Conference and now await home games in the states as the Girls Soccer team earned a 3 seed and the Volleyball team earned a 4 seed.

Our Gymnastics team earned a top 6 seed in the Shore Conference Tournament in which Brick Memorial is proud to be the HOST School, this Saturday, October 29. Brick Memorial Gymnastics has also been asked by the NJSIAA to be the HOST School for the State Team and Individual Championships, to be held Thursday, November 11 and Saturday, November 13.

Thank you to ALL of our Fall athletes and co-curricular participants for representing our school proudly and exemplifying what it means to be a Mustang.

Key Club Sponsors the Ghostly Gallop Walk-A-Thon

The award winning BMHS Key Club sponsored another successful fundraising event that not only raised funds for a good cause but also brings our Mustang community together and share the Halloween spirit! The Walk-A-Thon was a major fundraising event for our NJ District Project: Keeping the Garden State Green. The Key Club is raising funds for Clean Ocean Action, an organization that is dedicated to keeping our oceans clean and beautiful.
