Madison High School Updates
August 25, 2025
Message from Mrs. Thomas
On behalf of our entire staff - Welcome Back!
We are excited for another amazing school year at MHS! Last year our district adopted a K-12 PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) Initiative. We look forward to continuing to build on our proactive approach and instructional strategies to create a safe, positive and effective learning environment by teaching and reinforcing positive student behaviors. At the high school, we have adopted the core values of Resilience, Integrity, Showing Respect and Employability. These core values anchor our school and classroom expectations and have been used to develop a school-wide matrix. This matrix is taught and modeled for students to ensure consistency and accountability. I would encourage parents to review our HS Matrix and support your student to R.I.S.E. Up the Madison Way, All Day, Every Day!
If you would be interested in serving as a parent representative on our PBIS Team, please email me at kristin.thomas@madisonk12.us!
New and Returning Student Registration
This year both new and returning students/families will complete student registration via the Infinite Campus Parent Portal https://www.infinitecampus.com/login
The purpose of this process is to ensure that our records are updated with correct addresses/phone numbers. This process will also eliminate the large number of paper forms that parents are asked to complete at the start of each school year!
Returning student/families must complete the online registration no later than, Tuesday, August 19th.
Parents who do not have an active Parent Portal account in Infinite Campus should email HS Secretary, Kristal Vanzile for an activation code.
While it is possible to complete the registration on a mobile device, you may find the process easier on a desktop!
Back-To-School Celebration, Thursday, August 28th!
As part of our PBIS Initiative, we have planned a PBIS Kickoff Assembly and Schoolwide Celebration for students on Thursday, August 28th. This celebration will begin in the PAC and then students will have the opportunity to enjoy an extended lunch outside. Students may grab a lunch from the cafeteria, bring a picnic lunch, or purchase items from food trucks onsite. We look forward to celebrating the start of a great year!
News from the HS Counseling Office
Student Schedules can be accessed in the Infinite Campus Student and Parent Portals.
Please note: No changes can be made to 1st trimester schedules after Thursday, August 28th. Students wishing to make a change to their 2nd or 3rd trimester schedule should stop by the counseling office or email Mrs. Stelzer after the first week of school.
