Warm Wishes and Winter Gratitude

Dear Sierra Bonita Families,

As we enter December, I want to express my sincere gratitude for our hardworking students and the wonderful families who support them. Our school community continues to grow stronger because of your involvement, encouragement, and partnership. We are so proud of the effort our students put in each day and the kindness they show to one another.

Beginning December 2nd, we will start our middle-of-the-year Acadience reading assessments. We’re excited to see the growth our students have made since the beginning of the year. Please remember to continue supporting your child by helping them read at least 20 minutes each day, as it makes a tremendous difference in their progress.

Thank you for your continued support during this busy and festive season. We’re grateful for your children, the energy they bring to our school, and the strong community we share here at Sierra Bonita.

Wishing you all a warm, safe, and joyful December!

Cold and Inclement Weather Reminder

As the weather gets colder, please review our Cold and Inclement Weather Procedures. We encourage students to come prepared for outdoor recess each day with coats, gloves, and boots if needed.

To help keep track of belongings, please write your child’s first and last name on coats and lunch boxes. Over time, we accumulate many items in lost and found, and it’s always hard to donate unclaimed items when students are missing them. While we try to remind families about lost and found, many items still go unclaimed. If you are in need of a coat, please contact our office.

Thank you for helping us keep students warm and their belongings safe!
