Madison High School Updates
January 18th, 2026
Message from Mrs. Thomas
On Tuesday, January 20th, HOSA students Aryah Wesson and Vanessa Lewis will be bringing a presentation to MHS students and staff. As part of their mental health campaign, they have invited Madison parent, Bennice Byles, and motivational speaker, Gerod Sturgis, to share their uplifting stories of mental wellness, healing, and resilience.. We are excited for Bennice and Gerod to bring their empowering message to MHS!
Classroom Highlights
On Tuesday, January 13th, Mrs. McGormley had the opportunity to take a group of seniors enrolled in our Biomedical Sciences Program to the University of Michigan where they had the opportunity to tour the North Campus Research Complex and the University Hospital. While on campus, students were able to visit and observe a variety of pathology lab and students were able to speak with a group of Medical Lab Professionals.
This past week, 23 high school students volunteered at Camp Machindoh where they served as camp counselors for our 5th grade students! These students had the opportunity to develop new leadership skills while helping to make a memorable camp experience for our 5th grade students!
