Scottsville's Tuesday Tiger Times
April 14, 2026
Pictures from Spring Break
The winter snow photos on our hallway monitor were a massive hitโthe kids absolutely loved seeing their classmates' adventures and snowy smiles every day. But as the weather warms up, itโs time for a seasonal refresh!
Whether you spent the break exploring a new place, hiking the levy, or simply relaxing at home, we want to see it. Help us celebrate our school community by sharing your Spring Break memories.
Share Your Photos before Friday, April 17:
Email: Send your favorite shots to Principal Wells at cwells@k12albemarle.org.
Text: Send them directly to 434-999-1611.
We can't wait to see those smiling faces and update our digital display board!

Assistant Principal Day
School Board Visitors!
We were lucky to have two School Board members -- Ellen Osborne & Bob Beard -- visit Scottsville during the day on April 1.
"Thank you so much for having us to Scottsville ES. I can't wait to come back. You and your staff are running an inspiring, safe and welcoming school! We were so happy to see all of your students and experienced teachers truly engaged, with enthusiasm and energy, in so many subjects- from math and English to art and music. Keep it up! Families who live in southern Albemarle should be proud to have such a wonderful space to send their kids to learn and grow.

Multiplication Madness
Students put their multiplication skills to the ultimate test, racing against each other for speed and fluency. The final round featured an epic "Teacher vs. Student" face-off. In a stunning display of precision and speed, Alayna outpaced Ms. Wells to take home the championship title!
Class Placement Feedback
We put a lot of thought into classroom placements for each school year. YOUR input is important to us so please use this form by April 28 to provide us with your perspective.

Class placements are thoughtfully created through a collaborative process that includes your childโs current classroom teacher, Essentials teachers, resource staff, administrators, and school counselors to ensure each student is placed in a supportive and well-balanced learning environment.
While we do not accept requests for specific teachers, we value your input in describing the type of learning environment that best suits your childโs unique needs. The information provided will be shared with your current classroom teacher as well as next year's teacher before school starts.
If you have any questions about the class placement process, contact Principal Wells at cwells@k12albemarle.org or call (434) 286-2441.
Find details on the ACPS Kindergarten Registration website.

Every parent, guardian, and staff member at Scottsville Elementary is automatically part of the PTO, no sign-ups, dues, or meeting attendance required. The PTO only works when our school community works together, and right now we truly need more helping hands. Even volunteering once or helping in a small way makes a big difference for our students and staff.
