Greetings, Warrior Families!

As we approach Thanksgiving week, I wanted to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to all our families. May this holiday be filled with joy, gratitude, and togetherness for each and every one of you.

I would like to express my deepest appreciation for the unwavering support you have shown to your students and our beloved Pieper High School community. Your dedication and involvement have been instrumental in creating a nurturing environment where our students can thrive and grow.

This Thanksgiving, let us reflect on the countless blessings we have received and the incredible achievements of our students. It is through your encouragement and guidance that they continue to reach new heights and make us proud.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being an integral part of our Pieper High School family. May your Thanksgiving week be filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A Look Ahead

This past weekend, 38 theatre students competed in various State and National Qualifying level events, representing Pieper High School! We walked away with 13 advancing performances out of 19 National Qualifying Events! We also placed in two Texas State Level events. Please see the attached flyers with our amazing students listed. Congratulattions to all the kiddos, this is a HUGE achievement! Pieper High School has the most National Qualifiers out of the district.

Pieper Legacies traveled to Katy to compete at the first contest of its kind. This is YEARS in the making, and I am SO proud that OUR PIEPER DANCERS were part of this historical inaugural event. The Dance Team Invitational is the pilot UIL Dance Team evaluation, which changes the landscape for dance/drill team competitions for the State of Texas in a very good way!

Way to leave a Legacy.... 💜

Legacies received their first ever Division 1 and 2nd place overall in the 5A division. I’m glad we got to experience this with our sister schools, Canyon HS and Canyon Lake HS.

PSAT Scores

PSAT 8/9 and PSAT/NMSQT scores from all testing days have been posted. Students can log in to their College Board accounts to see their scores. If their score is missing, they can use the Score Matching Tool in their account to locate their score and connect it to their account. If a student is unable to log in to their account, use Forgot Password or please contact College Board at 1-888-477-PSAT to gain access to their account.

College Board is still working on scores for some students that had technology issues when submitting their tests. We have placed an escalated work order with College Board and are awaiting a resolution. Please check again in a couple weeks.

December EOC Re-Tests

December re-tests for EOCs will occur the week of December 5th with make-ups allowed until December 12th. Teachers will be given daily lists of testing students and will send them to their testing locations at 8:55 am. Tests are untimed and students will be allowed to break for lunch if needed. If you have any questions about your students' retesting status, please email amy.bachmeyer@comalisd.org.

November is Generation Texas month and Pieper held their Generation Texas week this past week! This is a time dedicated to students reviewing post-secondary options. Counselors played college trivia each day during lunch and teachers participated by decorating their doors with the schools they attended. Students also heard post-secondary information on the announcements throughout the week!

Counselors held their November Tranquil Tuesday this past week in the Counseling Suite and students practiced mindfulness through art and created paintings. Please have your student reach out to their counselor if they would like to attend future Tranquil Tuesday.

October was National Bullying Prevention Month, a time to focus and raise awareness on bullying. The counseling department had a booth during lunch to promote awareness and for students to take the pledge against bullying. This week, counselors were in sophomore classrooms to give lessons on bullying, cyberbullying and the consequence of inappropriate use of technology.
