Dear Cougar Cub Families,
Welcome Back, Cougar Cubs!
I hope you and your family are enjoying a wonderful summer! While our students still have a few weeks left to relax, recharge, and make lasting summer memories, our staff is excitedly preparing for another amazing school year. We can't wait to welcome back our returning Cougar Cubs and extend a heartfelt welcome to all of our new families joining the Fort Sam Houston Elementary community.
Our theme this year is "Cougar Cubs on a Mission!" Together, we're ready for a year filled with learning, growth, and success.
We invite all families to join us for our Meet the Teacher & Parent Orientation on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child's teacher, drop off school supplies, learn about classroom expectations, and start the school year with confidence.
Meet the Teacher & Parent Orientation Schedule
4:00–4:30 p.m. – Special Education Self-Contained Classes
4:30–5:15 p.m. – Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd Grade
5:15–6:00 p.m. – 3rd through 5th Grade
If you have not yet registered your child for the upcoming school year, I encourage you to complete the registration process as soon as possible. Registering early helps ensure your child has a classroom assignment before the first day of school. Please contact our campus registrar to schedule an appointment to complete your registration.
