May the 4th, No Art or STEM next week only Lunch Bunch and Creative Movement
Happy Friday!! What a great week! Our butterflies emerged! YAY! Butterflies should only be in the net for about 5 days so we released them on the playground today!
In Chapel this week, we traveled on the Road to Emmaus with Jesus and his friends. This story reminds us that even though we cannot see him, Jesus is always walking along side us! In Music Class, we took turns drawing notes from our note tower and practiced our Spring songs!
On Monday, May 4th, our Sunbeams are invited to wear Star Wars shirts/socks/etc if they have them! May the 4th be with you!

There was no Special Chapel in April since May Special Chapel is May 13/14. We will celebrate May, June and July birthdays.
Our First Parents' Night Out was a huge success! 22 Sunbeams, their siblings and 2 shifts of GBP staff had a blast! We played in the AG building, had popsicles and played parachutes in Asbury Hall, enjoyed snack, packed fruit for Backpack Buddies and ended the evening back in the AG. Donations from this event totaled over $650 for our Playground Beautification Project! THANK YOU! Ms. Heather is meeting with a representative from ALL RECREATION on Tuesday to discuss our plans for improving our outdoor play space!
Its a GBP tradition to have our LEGO Building and Bonding event after school the last Monday and Tuesday of the year (May 18 and 19). We gather in Asbury Hall after pick up and enjoy Costco pizza for lunch. After lunch, Sunbeams and their big people/little siblings travel to different LEGO building and exploration stations. Registration information will be sent out in next week's newsletter.
Please remember to pull up as far as possible on Wirt Street during drop off and pick up. Also, please do not block the driveway to the left of the Wirt Street doors, we do not own that property. Lastly, please remember (and share with anyone else who may pick up your children): our Owls and Bees are in their classrooms until Noon. If you arrive before noon to pick up your Owls/Bees/siblings, please remain in your vehicle so you can pull up when other parents leave.
