Bellerive Bulletin December 1, 2024
BelleriveBulletinDecember 1, 2024

Dear Bellerive Families,

I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving break. As we return, I’m excited about the busy three weeks ahead before winter break. It’s a wonderful time filled with special events, including Strings Open House and Culture Night this Friday! I hope to see many of you on Friday as we celebrate the rich diversity that makes our Bellerive community so special.

In this week’s newsletter, you’ll find important information about how you can support our school. We’re currently seeking donations for the nurse’s office and invite you to sign up to help other Bellerive families during the holiday season.

Additionally, in the Reminders section, you’ll see a link to the MRA (Measurable Results Assessment) survey. This survey is an important part of our Leader in Me work and is critical for our recertification as a Lighthouse School. We previously asked for your input at Movie Night and during Student-Led Conferences, but so far, we have only received 36 responses. We need at least 100 responses to gather the necessary data. Please take a few moments to complete the survey—it truly makes a difference!

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let’s make this week a great one!

Warm regards,

Joey Kneer

Absentee/Retake Picture Day is Tuesday, December 3rd. Wagner Portrait Group will be at school to photograph any students who were absent on the initial picture day or any student that needs his/her picture retaken.

If you are having a picture taken as a RETAKE, please make sure your student returns their package in its entirety, including the package insert sheet, to the photographer on retake day. (Feel free to attach a note to describe what you’d like Wagner to do differently.) Please let your child's classroom teacher know if you are requesting a retake!

If you have questions about ordering pictures, please call Wagner at 314-567-5900.

Strings Open House begins on Friday, December 6. Open House is a great opportunity to see firsthand what your child is doing in strings class. They will demonstrate the skills they have learned and perform some of the songs that they practice during class. Please review this letter for more information and the dates/times that your child has Strings class. Families may attend either class during Open House.

RSVP Needed: If you are planning to attend, please use this link to RSVP to help with setup and speed up the sign-in process at the office.

Strings Schedule Change: The linked schedule reflects that Wednesday and Friday Strings classes are flipped this week. This is a slight schedule change to accommodate the Early Release Day on Wednesday, December 11.

Car Lane Reminder: Do Not Block Driveways Car Lane Reminder: Do Not Block Driveways

zoom_out_map

We want to remind all families to be mindful of our neighbors during dismissal. Recently, some cars have been blocking driveways while waiting in the pickup line, which is frustrating to our neighbors. Please ensure that driveways remain clear during dismissal. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our dismissal process respectful and smooth!

Dressing for Winter Weather Dressing for Winter Weather

Winter weather is with us! Please help your child remember to dress for the cooler temperatures by wearing coats, hats, gloves, etc. to school each day so everyone is prepared for recess, arrival, and dismissal times. Consider labeling coats and accessories with your child's name to prevent loss.
