Holy Rosary
NEWSLETTER | TERM 4| WEEK 4| 7TH NOV 2025
Loving God,
We give thanks for the many blessings within our Holy Rosary community.
For our students, who bring energy, curiosity and laughter to each day, may they continue to grow in kindness and confidence.
We are grateful for our parents and families, whose presence and support enrich our school in so many ways. Bless them for the time and care they give so generously. We thank You for our teachers and staff, who work with dedication and heart to guide and nurture every child. Grant them patience, joy and a deep sense of purpose in all they do.
As we move through the busy weeks ahead, remind us to pause, to be grateful, and to see Your goodness in the small moments of each day.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
As we finish off another busy and vibrant week at Holy Rosary, I want to take a moment to thank our staff for their continued great work. Earlier this week, I was stopped by a parent who commented to me that our school βhas a really nice feel about itβ - something that I believe reflects the care and commitment shown by our wonderful team.
Looking back at the week that was, we have lots to report on!
Wednesdayβs Colour Run was a fantastic success. It was great to see so many smiles and splashes of colour across the oval, and it was especially exciting to have our Kindy students join in for the first time. A huge thank you to our P&F for organising such a fun event, to staff for their enthusiasm and support, and to the many parent volunteers who helped on the day: Rose, Simon, Celeste, Anna, Tash, Georgia, Leah, Susannah, Jess, Laura, Mark and Mel, Heidi, Tory, Anita, Olivia and Adam. Your help made it all possible. Thank you all.
Today, our Pre-Primary assembly was incredibly well attended and a real delight. Thank you to Aimee and Kellie, along with their EAs, for preparing such a beautiful assembly. While we enjoyed the Pre-Primary assembly this morning, several of our students were off representing Holy Rosary at the SSWA Triathlon Championships. Thank you to Rob Flexman for his preparation of our students and well done to all who took part!
A big thank you also to the parents who attended our parent help induction sessions this week. Your willingness to be involved and support our students in the classroom makes such a difference. We are very grateful for your time and partnership.
Finally, a staffing update. We wish to share that Mrs Sharni Silvestri will be leaving Holy Rosary at the end of the year to take up an Assistant Principal position at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Karrinyup. While we will miss Sharni dearly, we are thrilled to see her step into this exciting new chapter in her career. Congratulations Sharni, your new school is lucky to have you!
Whatever your plans, I wish you all a wonderful weekend.

Holy Rosary Students not returning in 2026
The horse, pony and unicorn books were enjoyed this week in library. Library lunchtimes are a popular calming space at the moment as students enjoy spending time together playing games and mindful colouring. All library books are due back in Week 7 so that Ms Capolingua and I can follow up any overdue or damaged books in Week 8. There are 107 overdue books at present. Thank you for checking in with your child and returning these as soon as possible.

The eSafety Commissioner has a helpful guide explaining the purpose of different apps and how to protect yourself and your family from harmful content. It is a useful guide to be able to discuss with your children the safety of the apps they use as well as support them to understand what they can do if they come across images or information that is harmful to them.

There is a lot going on Pastorally at Holy Rosary. Yesterday the Year 5 cohort had their Leadership Day. It was an honour to spend time with them as they prepare for their final year at Holy Rosary.
Seasons for Growth students are continuing with their reconnector sessions, and year 6 groups will spend some extra time preparing for the move to high school.
The Year 6 Council Groups will commence for Term 4 next Friday. The Christian Service group will be coordinating the collection of donations for Christmas Hampers. Thank you in advance for your support for those in need this Christmas.
A reminder about the URStrong website for parents. This at home activity on keeping calm in the classroom is on theme with the calm we are maintaining during a busy and exciting term.

Our Lady of the Rosary Parish will be having Childrenβs Liturgy at 10am mass on Sunday 9th November 2025. Children from 5-11 years of age are welcome to attend.
Parents, please sign your child in at the main entrance to the church. Fr Peter will call the children forward after the entrance hymn. They will share the Liturgy of the Word together and be back at the offertory. Hope to see you there.
Health Notices for Our School Community
This week, weβve had a few cases of tummy aches, vomiting, sore throats and headaches.
To help prevent the spread of illness, the Boorloo Public Health Unit strongly recommends practicing good hand hygiene and proper cough etiquette. They also advise that children who are unwell stay home to rest and recover.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping our community healthy.
