Math Specialist, Mrs. Guy
Our students have been working hard in math this year! Many grade levels have been honing their fluency skills while analyzing data on graphs. They are going to be well prepared for our Family Math and Science Night!
Join us Wednesday, October 22 from 6 until 8 p.m. in the gym as we welcome the Maryland Science Center. Eight amazing activities are being planned that night for students to explore:
Insect Investigators: How, and what, do bugs even eat?
Kool-Aid Chromotography: Conduct a chemical analysis on Kool-Aid and see how the tasty solution separates!
Light Play: Play with colors, shadows, and lenses to discover the fascinating ways that light works.
Mineral Matching: Use an acid test to make observations with a microscope to identify mystery rocks.
Mystery Boxes: Use the scientific process to puzzle out a mystery.
Communication Challenge: Can you build a structure without seeing it? Grab a partner and try!
Sky High: Use the engineering design process to launch planes!
Spring Thing: Build and improve a Spring Thing that can race your friends!
