PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Westwood Families,
This week, our Roadrunners had the opportunity to take part in Start With Hello Week, reminding us how much small acts of kindness and inclusion can mean. From saying hello to someone new to making an effort to include others, our students showed that creating a welcoming school starts with each of us.
We also continued recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month by learning about Latino leaders, artists, and other individuals whose contributions have shaped our communities, our country, and the world. It has been a great way for our students to learn about the people, cultures, and contributions that make our world so rich and diverse.
We wrapped up the week with our Friday Flag assembly, where we celebrated our Roadrunners who earned Roadrunner Recognitions and enjoyed a wonderful performance by our first-grade students, who sang a song about respect. Thank you to our staff and families for continuing to help make Westwood a place where our students feel welcomed, connected, and supported.
With gratitude,
Bill Egan
