The Wildkat Word: 2025-26 Wrap-Up
As we wrap up another incredible school year in Willis ISD, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that our students, staff, and families have accomplished together. This year has been filled with growth, achievement, and moments that make us proud to be part of the amazing Willis ISD Family.
From academic success and athletic accomplishments to fine arts performances and acts of kindness seen across our campuses every day, our students and staff have continued to raise the bar. I am deeply grateful for the dedication of our teachers, support staff, administrators, and families who work tirelessly to help every student succeed.
A special congratulations goes out to the 596 graduates of the Class of 2026. We are so proud of each graduate and excited to see the impact they will make as they begin their next chapter. Once a Wildkat, always a Wildkat.
While the school year may be ending, learning in Willis ISD continues all summer long. We are excited about the many enrichment camp opportunities available for students, along with our summer reading programs designed to keep young minds engaged, growing, and inspired.
And if you know a family with a student who is new to Willis ISD, we encourage them to take advantage of our summer registration opportunities. We look forward to welcoming new students and families to our Wildkat community.
Thank you for a wonderful school year. I hope each of you has a safe, restful, and joy-filled summer. We cannot wait to see what next year brings.
We know this year’s End-of-Year Survey may take a few extra minutes, and there’s a reason for that. In a special message to Wildkat Nation, Superintendent Dr. Kimberley James shares why Willis ISD combined multiple campus and department surveys into one survey experience this year and how your feedback helps shape future decisions.
Take a moment to hear why your voice matters and how every response helps make Willis ISD better for students and families.

As we wrap up another school year in Willis ISD, we want to take a moment to say thank you for your support and partnership throughout the 2025-26 school year.
This year brought moments of celebration, learning, and progress, and your feedback helps us better understand the experiences of the people who matter most: our students, families, staff, and community.
As we begin planning for the future, we invite you to participate in our 2025-26 End-of-Year Surveys. Every response is reviewed and considered as we prepare for the upcoming school year and continue working to make Willis ISD the best it can be.
As part of that process, we want to hear from you:
- What worked well this year?
- Where can we improve?
- What would you like to see moving forward?
Note: Students in grades 4-12 will be given time during the school day to participate in the survey. If you have a student in grades 1-3 who would like to participate, please click the link above and assist them with their responses.
The deadline to respond is May 27, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
If you need to take a break while completing the survey, your responses will be saved as long as you return using the same browser.
Willis High School Graduation is almost here, and we want to help ensure every family and supporter has the information they need to celebrate this milestone. Graduation details, ceremony information, venue guidance, and additional updates are available on the Willis ISD 2026 Graduation webpage.
For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be streamed live on the Willis ISD YouTube channel so family and friends can join the celebration from anywhere.
The full graduation ceremony will also be uploaded after the event, allowing families and supporters to revisit the celebration and ensuring every Wildkat’s special moment can still be viewed, even in the event of temporary connectivity issues during the live stream.
Willis ISD is excited to offer Summer Enrichment Camps for students looking to stay engaged, explore new interests, and build new skills throughout the summer. From art, engineering, culinary, photography, coding, theatre, woodworking, and more, these hands-on camps provide students with unique opportunities to learn, create, and grow in a fun and engaging environment.
Summer Enrichment Camps will take place Monday through Thursday from 9 AM–3:30 PM at the Willis High School CTE, located at 40 FM 830, Willis, TX 77378. Camps will be offered throughout June, with sessions available for both elementary and middle school students.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from Willis ISD staff and instructors while exploring activities designed to spark creativity, encourage collaboration, and provide real-world learning experiences. Whether students are discovering a new passion or expanding on an existing interest, Summer Enrichment Camps offer something for every learner.
To help make Summer Enrichment Camps more accessible for families, Willis ISD is gathering interest in the possibility of offering extended morning and after-program hours for incoming 3rd–8th grade students. This interest form will help the district better understand family needs and determine whether additional care options would support participation in Summer Enrichment Camps.
Summer Sports Camps will take place throughout June and July at various Willis ISD campuses. Camps are available for students of different age groups and skill levels, with options designed to help participants grow both on and off the field or court.
Participants will have the opportunity to work with Willis ISD coaches, strengthen their athletic abilities, meet new friends, and experience the energy and pride of Wildkat athletics. Whether students are trying a sport for the first time or continuing to sharpen their skills, Summer Sports Camps offer opportunities for every athlete to stay involved and active this summer.
Incoming 8th grade Wildkats are invited to take advantage of two free summer learning opportunities through the Willis ISD GEAR UP program designed to help students prepare for the future while building skills, confidence, and connections.
Gear Up for ACT/SAT Success provides students with a strong academic foundation through reading, writing, and critical thinking experiences that support success on future college readiness assessments and high school coursework. Students will work with complex texts, practice evidence-based writing, and strengthen skills in a supportive and engaging environment. The program takes place Monday–Thursday from 9 AM–3:30 PM at the Willis High School CTE Building across three sessions: June 8–11, June 15–18, and June 22–25. Attendance is expected for all three weeks.
Students can also participate in Wildkat Discovery Days, a hands-on summer experience that introduces future career pathways, college campuses, and opportunities beyond high school. Through interactive learning experiences and campus visits, students will explore areas such as business, finance, medical careers, first responder careers, science, and engineering while connecting with fellow Wildkats. Students may attend all sessions or select individual days based on interest.
Both programs are provided at no cost to participating Willis ISD students. Visit the registration link below to learn more and sign up.
Willis ISD will once again offer FREE summer meals for children 18 years old and younger from Monday, June 1, through Thursday, June 25.

Our "Calendars" webpage houses three calendars for community use: a district calendar, an athletics calendar, and a fine arts calendar. These calendars are updated routinely to keep you informed about upcoming events.
All Willis ISD campuses also have a campus calendar located on their homepage.
As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery. Our district cooperates with approved community partners by posting digital flyers online and distributing them electronically through our service provider, Peachjar.
If you're a community organization seeking to have your flyer distributed to Willis ISD students and families via Peachjar, please follow these six steps:
- Visit www.peachjar.com.
- Hover over the tab titled Community Organizations.
- Click on Why Peachjar?
- Select "Get Started Now."
- Register your organization.
- Follow the steps to upload your flyer for approval.
If your event is free and benefits school-aged children, you may be eligible for the Peachjar Community Free Flyer Program. If you believe your flyer meets these guidelines, please submit it to support@peachjar.com for consideration.
You will receive periodic emails about local opportunities through Peachjar, but you can also view your campus Peachjar board anytime by clicking the “Campus Peachjar” button on your school’s website. There, you’ll find flyers relevant to your student.
