Letter from the Principal

Dear Tiger Families,

We hope you are all enjoying a restful and joyful summer! ☀️

While school may be out, we’ve been hard at work improving St. Teresa School to make the upcoming school year even better.

🌿 Exciting news—construction on our Outdoor Classroom has officially begun! We are extremely grateful to the volunteers who have worked so hard to make this vision a reality. A special shoutout to Jeff Naylor, Brent Deppe, and Dan Ochsner for their leadership and dedication to this project. We can’t wait for our students to enjoy this new space for hands-on learning and exploration!

👨‍🍳 Kitchen upgrades are also in progress, bringing much-needed improvements to the heart of our school. We are incredibly grateful to the Men’s Club for their generous support in making these updates possible!

🙏 Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, every student, teacher, and parent will receive access to Hallow, a Catholic app and website filled with prayer tools, meditations, and resources to support faith formation both at school and at home. We’re excited to bring this enriching experience to the entire St. Teresa School family.

📅 Mark Your Calendars:

  • 🏫 School Spruce-Up Day – Saturday, August 2nd | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Come lend a hand as we clean, organize, and add final touches to get the school ready for the year! Many hands make light work—we’d love your help!

  • 🎒 Backpack Blessing – Due to scheduling conflicts, our Backpack Blessing has been rescheduled to Sunday, August 3rd at the 11:00 AM Mass at St. Teresa Church. Students are encouraged to bring their backpacks as we pray for a safe and successful school year.

  • 🖍️ Back to School Open House – Sunday, August 10th | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Meet your teacher, drop off your supplies, sign up for clubs and activities, and reconnect with friends. We can’t wait to see you there!

  • 🏢 School office reopens with normal hours on Monday, July 28th.

Thank you for being a part of the St. Teresa family. Wishing you all a safe, happy, and blessed summer—we can’t wait to welcome you back soon! 🐯📚🌻

Sincerely,

Nicole Green

Principal

We love to show all the great things St. Teresa Tigers do at school and in the community!

After all, TIGERS LEAD THE WAY!

Our St. Teresa Alumni Have Been Busy!

We are so proud to share what some of our amazing St. Teresa alumni have been up to!

Faith in Action: St. Teresa Alumni Max Kraus, Caleb Schindelar, Kennadi Totel, and Isaac Riesenberger attended the Steubenville 2025 Youth Conference July 11–13 at Southwest Missouri State University, joining roughly 4,000 teens for a powerful weekend of worship and fellowship. This year’s theme, Consumed, challenged young people to be set ablaze with the love of Jesus rather than the distractions of the world—like phones and social media. We’re inspired by their witness and hope to grow our St. Teresa presence at this conference in the future!

Service in the Community: St. Teresa alum and Belleville Firefighter Anthony Lombardo helped rescue a cat stranded near a MetroLink overpass. Local coverage reports that the cat was safely brought down, found a new home, and was even named in honor of its rescuer. We love seeing our alumni live out compassion in real, tangible ways in the community! 👉 Firefighter Anthony Lombardo Rescues Cat

We love seeing the amazing things our alumni accomplish—whether it’s acts of heroism or deepening their spiritual journey. If you’re a graduate of St. Teresa, we’d love to hear your story!

Once a Tiger, always a Tiger! 🐾

Once a month at the 11:00 AM Mass at St. Teresa Church, we celebrate our Children and Youth Mass.

During this special liturgy, the young members of our parish are invited to take part in the ministries of the Mass—serving as greeters, ushers, readers, and gift bearers.

Our next Children and Youth Mass will be held on Saturday, August 3rd at 11:00 AM. We encourage all families to mark their calendars and join us for this joyful celebration.

If your child would like to participate, please use the sign-up links below to select a ministry role.

We look forward to seeing our youth involved and growing in faith!
