Morning Devotion & Weekly Chapel
What does a typical week at CCS look like?
We start each day with morning devotion and all students participate in weekly chapel services.
At the lower school campus, PK through 6th Grade begin the day in the gym with a song of worship, a scripture devotion, and the doxology. For students in the upper school, morning singing and devotion happens between 1st and 2nd period classes each day.
Over the course of this school year, students have been challenged to lead during devotion. Our Lions have risen to this challenge and are doing a fantastic job! Each week, from some of our youngest to some of our oldest, students are sharing scriptures, thoughts and prayers with their peers. We are excited to witness their growing faith and boldness to stand for Jesus!

Fundraising with our Purpose and Mission
At CCS our purpose is to further the kingdom of God by preparing students to impact the world. We feel one way to do that is by supporting missions both close to home and internationally. With our purpose in mind, we will not keep all of the funds raised for ourselves but will tithe a portion back. We are partnering with ONE30 and a mission group that will be making a trip to Uganda this summer. The group will include several students from CCS; their family will be assisting missionaries to educate local families about hygiene and healthy lifestyles. They will be taking hygiene products to distribute and CCS will be helping to purchase some of these items as well as give a donation to ONE30.
Every donation and ticket sold helps invest directly into our athletics, classrooms, and future growth. This fundraiser is a meaningful way for families to partner with the school and model generosity, service, and community involvement for our children. Thank you for your continued support and for helping make this fundraiser a success.

Boys Basketball Coach Announced
Cullman Christian School is pleased to announce the hiring of Triston Chambers as the new Head Boys Basketball Coach for the Cullman Christian Lions. Coach Chambers brings a strong passion for player development, a commitment to excellence, and a values-driven approach to leadership that aligns with the school’s mission.
Coach Chambers steps into the role with experience as both a player and a coach. As a player, Coach Chambers was a vital member of his high school team, as well as his college teams, playing for notable coaching mentors including Tim Willoughby, Lennie Acuff, and Bucky McMillan. During his time in college he played for Samford University and The University of Alabama in Huntsville. As a coach, he served as an assistant coach for the Cullman High School 2022 State Championship team, head coach for Addison High School in 2024-25, and currently serves as a basketball skills personal trainer and AAU coach.
“We are excited to welcome Coach Chambers to the Cullman Christian family,” said Head of Schools Heith Yearwood. “His experience and enthusiasm for the game makes him a great fit for our school and our basketball program. He knows the challenges that a Christian school may face. Coach Chambers played at Briarwood Christian School during his middle school years before moving to Cold Springs his freshman year. Chambers discussed the challenges they experienced, but believes this experience helps him understand the steps needed in building a successful program. During his time at Cold Springs High School, Coach Chambers became the boys all time leading scorer with over 3,000 points in his four year career.”
Coach Chambers expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “I am honored to lead the Lions basketball program. I look forward to building relationships with our players, helping them grow as athletes and individuals, and representing Cullman Christian with pride and integrity.”
The Cullman Christian Lions look forward to the upcoming season under Coach Chambers’ guidance and invite the community to support the team as they continue to grow and compete.
