Driveway Reminders and Early Dismissal Information Driveway Reminders and Early Dismissal Information

Arrival and Dismissal Times Arrival and Dismissal Times

Our doors open each day at Davis School promptly at 8:55am. On Mon-Tue-Thu-Fri, our dismissal is at 3:20. On Wednesday, our dismissal time is at 1:55.

Driveway Reminders

K-2 Families, please do not enter the driveway for rolling pickup until 3:25pm. Park in the lot of the church to wait in line prior to 3:25pm. If someone else leaves the church parking lot before 3:25pm please DO NOT follow them.

Preschool families, please do not enter the loop by the preschool entrance until 9:15am in the morning and 12:15pm in the afternoon.

These pick up times are designed to ensure the safe exit and entrance of cars, buses, vans, and pedestrians coming and going from Davis School. Please help do your part by following these rules.

Dismissing from School Early

On days you need to get somewhere afterschool, we recommend that you let the school know you will be picking your child up at the regular dismissal time. Park in a legal spot either in the lower parking lot or the church and walk up the path that leads to Davis School. You then can wait for walkers to be dismissed from the front of the school. At 3:20pm students getting picked up on foot are quickly dismissed and then you can walk back to your car and easily exit the parking area without getting caught in the dismissal car line.

We strongly discourage regular early dismissals. An early dismissal, even right at the end of the day is added to a students attendance record, can result in missed instruction and experiences, and interrupts what is happening at the classroom at that moment.

We appreciate your help as we work to ensure a successful day for all of our students at Davis School.

News from Nurse Leah News from Nurse Leah

Welcome back everyone! I am Nurse Leah and I will be covering the nurses office here at Davis until Nurse Jen’s return in October! If you need anything please call the nurses office directly at 781-918-4906 or email me at leah_devereaux@bedfordps.org

A few reminders:

  • If your child requires medication during the school day, an order needs to be sent by the prescribing physician, medications need to be dropped off by the parent, counted and signed off with the nurse before it can be administered. This is true for students who took medications last year as well. All forms need to be updated annually.
  • If you haven’t already done so please complete the emergency form that your child brought home on the first day of school and be aware if you received an allergy letter or immunocompromised letter for your child’s classroom. Thanks for helping to keep the Davis community safe!
  • The lost and found remains in the nurse's office. Please label all of your items and I will do my best to get them back to you!
  • Please see this link for our up to date illness guidelines.

Thank you!
