Hello QCVA Families,
As we reach the midpoint of the quarter, this is an important checkpoint for all students. Progress reports and course grades reflect current effort, and now is the time to address missing or incomplete assignments before they impact final grades. Students are expected to log in daily, stay on pace with coursework, and communicate with their teachers when support is needed. Families play a critical role in monitoring progress and reinforcing consistent work habits at home. Taking action now will ensure a successful close to the quarter and keep students on track toward their academic goals.
Warm regards,
Kevin Aikins
Principal, Queen Creek Virtual Academy
Partnering for Virtual Success
While virtual learning changes how students study and teachers measure growth, the parent-teacher partnership remains the foundation of student success. Because digital curriculum is self-paced, staying actively involved is essential to keep your student focused and motivated. To help them thrive, we recommend focusing on three core pillars: Time, Expectations, and Encouragement.
Time Management is vital for consistency. Whether working from home or on-site, help your student establish a daily schedule that includes time for assignments and a thorough review of their eNotes before assessments.
High Expectations drive momentum. Encourage your child to use the Assignment Calendar to set and achieve daily goals, which builds the determination needed to stay on track all semester.
Daily Encouragement builds resilience. Make it a habit to check in by asking:
What did you learn or accomplish today?
What was challenging, and how did you overcome it?
How can I help you succeed tomorrow?
By celebrating small wins and providing steady support, you provide the structure your student needs to excel in a virtual environment.
