Lost and Found is currently overflowing with jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, and even some unexpected treasures!
Here’s the catch: most people who have lost something don’t actually realize it's gone yet. We highly encourage all students to take a quick stroll by the Lost and Found this week, even if you are absolutely certain you aren't missing a thing. You might just spot that favorite sweater you thought was tucked away in the back of the closet at home!
Grant's lost and found is on located on the bottom floor near the gym.
Any items left unclaimed by Monday, June 8th will be donated to a local charity. Thank you for helping us clear out the clutter!
Valid June 1–August 31
The TriMet Summer Pass is valid on all buses and trains across the Portland area, making it easier than ever for students to explore their communities. Whether it’s commuting to a summer job, attending enrichment programs, volunteering, or simply meeting up with friends, the pass removes the stress of coordinating rides and reduces the burden often placed on parents and caregivers.
Available to all eligible students regardless of financial resources
The Summer Pass is available to all eligible students, ensuring equitable access to opportunities across the region. However, passes are limited, so early sign-up is strongly encouraged to guarantee access before they run out.
It’s a pass to access all things summer
While savings are significant, the value of the Summer Pass goes far beyond cost by opening the door to discovery, independence, and new experiences. Students can easily reach rivers, parks, museums, swimming pools, sports fields, courts, local markets, libraries, and cultural events happening throughout the metro area.
Getting started is simple
Or, load the Summer Pass on your Hop card by filling in the form above.

Grant High School Cleans Up in Oregon's Student Media Olympics!
The OJEA Student Media Olympics is the premiere state contest for secondary media students in Oregon and we had 10 students win an award for their individual work from this past year. We also received a "Superior" rating for all three of the issues that we entered into the contest.
Please join me in recognizing the following students for their work in this contest: Irma Anderson, June BÓ“ck, Phoebe Bialecki, Sayuri Hara (c/o 2025), Lizzie Harris, Logan Hendrickson, Eliot Logan, Eleanor Price, Amelia Shaw, and Zoe Shaw.
I would especially like to recognize Amelia Shaw for winning "Best in Category" for her profile article on Superintendent Armstrong!
Grant Magazine Students Recognized for Gold Circle Awards at the National Level
The Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) offers student journalists Gold Circle Awards to recognize superior individual student work. These awards recognize the work during the 2024-25 school year, so some of the winners graduated last year.
Please join me in recognizing the following students: June BÓ“ck, Lucy Brewster, Claire Coffey, Cash Courtney, Eliot Logan, Matt Polk, Berlin Talbott, Harper Schein Williams, and Lucy Zimmerman.
While being recognized for your journalism work is impressive, the following students won first place in their categories. Class of 2026: Senior Check-Out & Graduation Updates
Yesterday was our official Senior Check-Out! The energy was high as our seniors buzzed around the school wrapping up their high school careers. Between turning in supplies, settling lost book fees, and completing counselor exit interviews, students picked up their graduation tickets and enjoyed a wonderful banquet breakfast beautifully crafted by our Culinary Arts teacher, Chef Hale.
While checking out over 500 students at once is always a massive undertaking, the day went incredibly well. We are so proud of this group, and we will truly miss seeing the Class of 2026 in our halls!
Important Graduation Ticket Information
Ticket Distribution: All seniors should now have their graduation tickets in hand.
Venue & Ticket Limits: Because our graduation venue has strict capacity limits, every graduate received exactly 5 tickets. * Extra Ticket Requests: We know many families requested additional tickets. Unfortunately, due to tight space restrictions, we were unable to accommodate these extra requests.
Thank you so much for your understanding, flexibility, and cooperation as we prepare to celebrate the incredible Class of 2026!
While we know checking out over 500+ will never go perfect, we feel the day went well. We are so proud of this group, and we will truly miss seeing the Class of 2026 in our halls!
Important Graduation Ticket Information
Ticket Distribution: All seniors should now have their graduation tickets in hand.
Venue & Ticket Limits: Because our graduation venue has strict capacity limits, every graduate received exactly 5 standard tickets unless they opted to have less.
Extra Ticket Requests: We know many families requested additional tickets. Unfortunately, due to tight space restrictions, we were unable to accommodate all of the extra requests, and we do not have any additional tickets available.
We recommend hosting a Streaming Party! > Since venue space is so limited, we highly suggest hosting a streaming party at home with friends and extended family! Its comfortable and you get great close up shots of what's happening on stage. You can watch the ceremony live together via the PPS Communications YouTube Livestream.
A Note on Ticket Envelopes & Extra Requests
To clear up any confusion regarding how extra ticket requests were processed, please review the details below:
The Label: Your student’s original request for extra tickets might still be listed on their envelope label, even if it could not be fulfilled.
Standard Tickets: Before distribution, our counseling team verified and signed off that the amount of ticket requested on your senior survey were inside (before any additional request).
If You Were Granted Extra Tickets: In the rare instances where we were able to fulfill a request for extras, the counselors verified the additional amount, included them in the envelope, and signed off on the new total.
Many families have reached out concerned that their extra tickets were accidentally forgotten. Please be assured that this is not the case—every single envelope was carefully audited and confirmed before being handed out.

Calling all musicians! The Bodecker Foundation is partnering with Tony Ozier and the Dookie Jam to host a one-day workshop for musicians who want to step on stage but aren't quite sure how.
Jamming has unwritten rules. Things you just don't know until you learn them. Tony Ozier has been hosting the Dookie Jam since 2008 and knows all of them.
He's going to teach you.
The Dookie Jam started at the Alberta Street Pub and has become one of Portland's most beloved monthly music events, growing so popular it's now happening in Los Angeles too. It's a place where anyone can get on stage and play. Experts and beginners, side by side.
OPB did a beautiful piece on Arietta Ward and the Dookie Jam worth watching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7IEh0cQjY4
